Viking Festival at the old Viking Burial Ground on Lindholm Høje, in the northern part of Jutland in Danmark. Many people came and visit us and in the evening, we held a Blót ( celebration ) of the summer solstice on this historical site. Wonderful weekend together with my Viking brothers and sisters.

Geoff, the more I follow the old traditional pagan way, living free and from the land. This freedom was against the establishment, and they created religion to control the free. Taxes are nothing more than the enslavement of mankind.

hello tom,cornelius viking friends love the sights and sounds i wish i could smell that great food. like the band the volver and the young woman in yellow with the beautiful red hair. and the hugging was nice one large family of people just keeping the heritage of the vikings alive beautiful to see keep the faith tom🐉👍💯

You also needed to do something with one of the main tent's supports after it was damaged in a high wind. What did you do about that?

@@terrym1065 yeah. Bagpipes weren’t around until about the 1200s. And the bass drum looks like it’s from about the 17th or 18th century and the other two drums are African. The particular set of pipes the guy in this bedroom uses are of modern German design that are supposedly from the medieval period, but there has been no real evidence that pipes like that ever existed. They sound awesome though.

I visited your fantastic archaeological site a few days ago, I come from the Alps and have been following druidism and the ancient way for years. I found many points in common with your wonderful culture and in Lindholm Høje you really breathe strong energies. hope to return one day to visit Aalborgh. you are lucky enough to live in a fantastic country, where the stories, myths and tales of your ancestors come to life.

Yeah, what a great festival! Amazing reenactment, all those details, great clothings, and such an effort to build up this cool camp! It is good to slow down, and celebrate the history and traditions in these frantic modern days. I've only been to Lindholm Høje once before and thought "well, if that wouldn't be a nice spot for a viking market". Didn't know at the time there was one.
