@@Pammie1221 For me, it is his majestic voice, talent, dedication, hard work, passion for music, he is singing with his whole being. And he also reminds me so much of my son who is a year older than Dan, with a Bday on sept. 9, with the same sense of humor, same energy, same ... that play full, joy full, cheeky, cocky sparkle in his eyes, body posture. Except my son don`t know to sing at all. 😀🤗💜

@@Pammie1221 Thank You, well he has, not that he is my son, but he really has, and he is handsome also 🥰, Virgo man, like Sean Connery, Richard Geer, Dan Vasc , Keanu Rives ..... my son looks a lot (for real) like Keanu (when he was younger ofc.). And they are all perfectionists, which we can see and hear listening to Dan. Every tone he sings must be on point. I have a feeling that he would sing something for weeks until HE is satisfied with it. That is a real dedication and passion for something One loves to do. Sorry for the "book" I wrote here.

Imagine Dan on stage, performing this live in theatre. The audience would be a crying mess afterwards! Dan's face and body language tell you the story, and his voice makes you feel every word and every gesture. He's not just a singer, he's an actor and a true artist as well.

Dan puts all of his emotions in every song he sings. If you want to see his raw emotions, watch him sing An American Trilogy, which is a tribute to his father who was an Elvis fan. His father passed only five days prior to this recording. It’s heartbreaking to watch him struggle. I don’t know how he managed to finish that song, but he did.

Same here. Sometimes I go and watch it, just because I NEED to. I can't watch it, without (literally) saying to him, during the instrumental interval before the end, "It's OK, Dan. Hang in there. You can do it. You CAN!" ...and then crying WITH him at the end.

This young man has been blessed with a gift we are all in awe of. And how blessed are we to be able to be swept in to his interpretation of the lyrics he sings! For a few moments we journey in to a story he tells so well. Either a lone man in love with one he can not have or tossing a coin at a Witcher who is hated. I feel so fortunate this young man was discovered. I hope he knows how he has affected so many of us with just being who he is. Dan Vasc! And you show him such respect in your reactions. TY

Thank you, thank you, thank you for reacting to this song! I wasn't on time to recommend it to you but I've been asking for this song whenever I see someone do a reaction to Dan Vasc. Because for the longest time no one gave this masterpiece the attention it rightly deserves. I was looking for reactions to this song for years and came up empty. It's only in the last year or so that it's been popping up more often. So I'm so happy to see your heartwarming reaction to it. :D I agree with what you said about him not acting it out. I've always said that he doesn't sing it, he *performs* it. I've seen this musical on stage 3 times, seen a few recorded plays and listened to several versions of it. But my favourite is the original recording before it was ever put on stage with Ian Gillian as Jesus. And before I heard Dan Vasc perform it I had never heard anyone even come near what Ian does with it, but Dan is a very close second, and that is the highest praise I could give to anyone performing this song. The high notes are absolutely stunning. But to be honest, it's the second part of the song as he drops to his knees that is my absolute favourite. I've heard it more times than I can count and it still gives me goosebumps and makes me tear up. The sheer amount of emotion that he displays is just fenomenal. The shaky breaths before he starts to sing again is like a dagger to the heart. Just amazing. Thank you again for reacting to it and it was awesome to see that you loved it just as much as I did the first time I heard it.

I subscribed to your channel because you speak to my heart with your comments and reactions. Dan is simply wonderful in everything he does. You can see his soul in his eyes, that is also a gift.❤ I see that too. And I feel it. Unfortunately there aren't that many people like that anymore. By the way, I also listen to Tommy Johannson a lot. Thank you for your great reactions.🙏

I would love to see your reaction to Dan's version of My Mother Told Me. Mostly because of the Viking thing lol, but also because it's Dan, very manly and its awesome. Just watched this reaction 3 times, I really need to go to bed.

I end up in tears every time I watch his version. Towards the end you see the tears coming from his eyes.

Thank you Janet for your considered opinion, much appreciated, as I do think that's the element that maybe people miss. Whilst I appreciate that people have criticised its literal 'translation', they are maybe forgetting it's from a musical so 'poetic licence' is bound to play its part. More to the point, the not so staunch believer is also brought into the fold as you would have to have a heart of stone not to be drawn in by it and for it not to be thought provoking. When I first saw criticism about this, (elsewhere) when some feel the need to point out the 'discrepancies' at length and some, even do it during the reaction, for me personally, isn't appropriate. Obviously I can't speak for others, it's just my opinion. Dan is a Christian and it was clearly acceptable to him, so in turn should it not be enough for others? He didn't write it, he's taken a song from a long established musical and created an audio/visual masterpiece which I do think hasn't got the attention it deserves. Incidentally, I have watched practising Christians being more than happy with what they just experienced so I guess it's swings and roundabouts. Again, Janet - thank you, you obviously view it for what it is which is not an intentional exercise in misinformation. I think we have plenty of that circling elsewhere in the world and it's exhausting, trying to sift through the sand to find a nugget of truth.

Loved your thoughts on this song from the play, at the time it came out bible thumpers were angry of the interpretation of Jesus at the garden of Gethsemane. Making him more human. Thanks Viking for playing an almost lost song. I think you’ll love Dans version of Fairy Tale -cover of shaman and Andre Matos no longer with us on earth from Shaman.

"Fairy Tale" is one of my VERY favorite videos in Dan's "library." It's so beautiful. A couple of weeks ago, I printed out the lyrics for myself, so I could put the story together in my brain. Once that was done, I listened to Dan singing it again, and...OH, MY WORD!!!

I hope he thanks God everyday for the gift of that voice. I love this man. I am 79 years old and have no reason why I listen to heavy metal and grunge, but if I didn't I would not have found him and would not have heard this. There are no words sufficient to describe this. It is the same feeling I had after watching "Passion of The Christ".

HOLY SNAPPIN' DUCK SHIT!!!...😱 I've heard this sung by some of the greatest voices in music, Ted Neely, David Gilliam, John Farnham Trevor White, and without a doubt, Daniel is up there with the best of them. One might even venture to say he possesses one of the best voices in music today. It doesn't matter what he takes on, it very quickly becomes his song. He is so immensely talented and skilled, it's just mind blowing how great he is...☺️ I too often find myself at a loss for words... absolutely love his voice... and let's face it, the rest of him ain't bad either...🤤 🙃🐨🇦🇺
