Hvitserk is a character i've been willing to edit for a long time, i failed to edit him last year, but now, i'm proud i managed to make a tribute for him as he is the most underated son of ragnar. I liked what they did of him in season 6, even if Hirst kinda changed everything at episode 9, making Hvitserk join Ivar.
I really tried to focus on the addiction part of Hvitserk, so i didn't put much of Hvitserk and Ivar relationship in season 6. I still believe there is more potential for Hvitserk, i hope season 6B will give him more to do. enjoy the video.

@@JesseJr19 Not dumb, just ignorant or naive because he had not suffered that fate yet. Is Bjorn a hypocrite, a bad father, and many other things but hes obviously a great man nonetheless. A MAN like Ragnar that would never kill anyone just because they didn't see him as a god or defied his orders to kill his brother instead he went out of his way to save his brother.

I don't get your guys' point. The scenery about one brother killing the others mother was not about who is going to forgive whom. These weren't forbiddable acts. It was about who would truly understand and follow Ragnas mentality. Ragna knew taking revenge would only continue the spiral of death. It was not about forgiving but not seeking revenge. Bjorn almost took revenge but burning Hvitserk alive, but he didn't. BUT on the same time, same situation, he didn't seek for revenge on that one guy who did end up fighting Lagertha and almost killing her.

agreed apart from Bjorn who is obviously much better he's probably the best out Ragnars sons. The only thing though is his technique looks like he has no stamina

@@Suck_Mike_Hok agreed apart from Bjorn who is obviously a straight up beast he'd probably beat any other ragnars other sons but idk though because some times when I see him fight looks slightly uncoordinated and like he has no stamina I think he would also beat Ubbe but it'd be very hard fought

@@melvinboro1031 hvitserk has more experienced in battle and has showed to be capable to beat multiple enemy with diferent size in the same battle. Meanwhile ubbe has difficulty beating the yarl and combat is not part of his character developement so yeah i think hvitserk is stronger

i love hvitserk, he's my favorite out of the ragnarssons. as much as ubbe looked just like ragnar and björn had his ambition, hvitserk always had that look I saw in ragnar's eyes at the end of his life. the cold, sad and lost look. I think he is the one who most resembled his father as a man.

Both when he was addicted and after he lost in France against Rollo. Yeah, I agree he resembled that Ragnar. Ig he finally found his destiny when he turned to Christianity. I honestly think he resembled Rollo more than Ragnar overall. He was a great fighter only next to Bjorn, but he had no sense of purpose so he just followed his brothers around.

Hvitserk is such an underrated character. He represents Ragnar's destructive side but also questions and is curious about many issues like him. He seeks his fate and I'm pretty sure he has found it. Him and Ivar are the best duo and even though Ivar wasn't the best in the past with him, I believe this will change. This edit was awesome thank you for this masterpiece.

I feel like out of all the sons of Ragnar, Hvitserk feels the most like him. Bjorn fights like their father, Ubbe looks like him, Ivar wants to be him - but Hvitserk always had that same, quiet existential feeling.

I don't agree with that, Bjorn (as a fighter) was an entire different entity. You can't compare him to any other fighters. He was strong and fought like a berserker, yet skilled and sharp. He does resemble his father in everything else though. If anything Hvitserk is the one resembling Rollo the most. If you've watched the last season you'd notice that he fights wild like a bear, looks exactly like Rollo did in Paris, and is the best fighter near the end only second to Bjorn. Even though he's a strong warrior, he has no sense of purpose just like Rollo, so he follows his brothers around and betrays them (besides Ivar in the end). Also just like Rollo, he turned to Christianity in the end.@@XsRR100

I wouldnt say that. No one fights like floki, and there is a reason for that. If anything, he would be replacing athelstan. Because he cant decide where to go. Floki did everything for a reason, hvitserk doesnt have a reason yet. Or at least... doesnt think he does.

Hvitserk was like a quiet storm his demeanor was low keyed but he was fierce on the battlefield. I really enjoyed this character he was powerful and the actor did a superb job of bringing him to life.

Hvitserk is the most interesting character for me,for he is light hearted and tries to find the reason to live passionately,to find someone to be in love with,even though he is really sadistic on battlefield and gets pleasure and satisfaction when kills but he can love with all his heart

See everybody talks about Bjorn and Ivar, but Hvitserk is my favourite. People mistake his story and think it's all unremarkable yet I think the story of trying to find your fate and the cycle of self destructive tendencies echoes that of Ragnar.

Masterpiece video my friend , Hvitserk It represents the most abstract and emotional part of Ragnar, the spiritual... The desire to live passionately but at the same time not knowing where to go, confused and disoriented, reaping the fruit of your actions, whether good or not, the fight against internal conflicts the sadness and the anguish, the self-destruction... the insecurity and finally the curiosity for religions the questions... he is a fantastic character but little observed by the majority

The most underrated brother. I love Hvitserk as much as I love Ubbe, and Ubbe is my favorite son of Ragnar. This makes sense bc as much as I can talk of his relationship with Ivar, his relationship with Ubbe was the most profound. Hvitserk’s arc was amazing, and I’m glad he discovered purpose in the end.

Again I’ve been seeing so many edits of Ragnars sons they all literally exemplify him in every way Ivar as his chaos and lust for war his cruelty Ubbe his wisdom loyalty and fearlessness Bjorn his young self wanting peace but thrust in constant war and pain loyal to a fault And then finally Hvitserk broken erratic showing really Ragnar at the end of his life yet he lived believed and died owning his actions just as Ragnar did I was shocked when he killed Lagertha and even more shocked when he was set afire loved this edit!!!!!!!! I love Hvitserk, he has become one of my favorite characters in the newer seasons. Of course Ragnar, Floki and Athelstan are the best characters ever written on this show. But Hvitserk and Ivar are the best written characters in the later seasons. I've grown to dislike Bjorn, what a hypocrite after what his mother did to their mom

It really brings out how complex the character really is and adds a bit more depth that can possibly be lost in watching the series. With the music and how you put the clips together, you can feel the emotions he is feeling. Amazing!

The stories in this show is absolutely incredible. Hvitserk went from being fearless, not fearing everything... ivar showed that the whole time, he was faking his personality and he wasnt as evil as he painted himself out to be as he understood that people already feared him and he could use that as an advantage... plus every other incredible storyline

he’s likely gonna be a main character after ivar. he’ll have a big redemption plot and do big things like fight with king alfred, kill ivar, and get baptized into christianity.

Hvitserk isn't smart. He lives in the past and the present. He always hung up on details rarely thinks about the big picture.

You make the best edits. I love vikings and I love it when people make a tribute to certain characters. And I know sigurd died early but he deserves atleast one good edit. No one made one yet. As many comments said Hvitserk’s character is a little bit bland in the whole story, but Marco made him flesh and blood. And without Marco’s Hvitserk may Ivar ‘s character wouldn’t be that intense. Hvitserk ‘s PTSD of Thora’s death reflected Ivar such ruthless king who he was. Of course his brilliant fightings at the battlefield, as Ivar said I know you brother you are the true viking.

This is what I’ve been waiting for. Some people don’t seem to understand Hvitserk’s character but this tribute summed it up perfectly. He’s questioned his fate and purpose and wants to find out what it is. He thought his fate was to kill Ivar but it was to kill Lagertha and now he’s destined to be with Ivar. Love Hvitserk in battle too and I can’t wait to see more of it in 6b. He just goes full on berserk mode lol. Another amazing tribute. His arc in 6b will be so good. I cannot wait for it!
