Both casts for Bjorn were simply brilliant. Young and old Bjorn, just totally nailed their roles and I really liked their characters.

There the exact same person child Bjorn is the person as adult Bjorn they filmed the first season and the first episode of the second season way before the show first aired it was for the other sons of Ragnar that they change actors for but for Bjorn he's always been the same actor Alexander Ludwig

Vladimir Ironfang Bjorn is Rollo’s son in the show. He let ragnar raise him to keep less drama and some type of peace. Look at Bjorn and the rest of Ragnars sons and you will see what I mean. Bjorn is son of the Bear AKA Rollo but Ragnar is also Bjorns father because a father is not by blood / who sperm, it is by who raises you and carea for you. This show is not based on historical/ mythical stories they changed things from the myth/history so don’t be suprised when the show reveals Bjorns Biological father was Rollo :).

@@vladimirironfang8019 I doubt it, even with the show being historically inaccurate. Bjorn looks more like ragnars son than any of the others. Everything about him is also far too similar. But if somehow this comes to fruition then we'll need Ivar to just hurry up and wipe everyone out for the sake of time

I hear this too but after thinking about it I doubt it too. If you go back to season 1 apparently it shows that Lagertha has little attachment emotionally to Rollo. Given Ragnar's wisdom he would not have been in the blue if there really had been something going on between Lagertha and Rollo in the past.

What a beautiful and complex father/son relationship these two had. It was one of my favorite parts of this show. Just so beautifully done. Bjorn is my favorite son of Ragnar. Mainly because he is the one who reminds me the most of Ragnar, and because we watched him grow up and become a man through out the seasons. Never really got that for the other boys sadly.

Ubbe reminds me of Ragnar too, especially because of his calm attitude and ability to think in long term (I have the feeling that Bjorn and especially Ivar are very much influenced by their rage in their thinking). And ubbe’s eyes look similar to Ragnars haha . I’m speaking after watching season 5...

Björn was able to outsmart Ivar in the first battle they had, Rollo had to help him in order to win so the haters can shut up now about him not being intelligent. Björn has clearly proved that he is smart as well by doing what non of the other brothers had done.

This is one of the best edits I've ever watched. All the perfect parallels, ending with the last time they ever saw each other. It was so fitting that those were Ragnar's last words to him. It's all Bjorn ever wanted for the most part of his life, which you demonstrated masterfully. You never disappoint. I may have shed a tear just reading the title because I knew I was about to witness greatness :D

This is an incredible tribute! I love their relationship, they had a lot of complicated feelings about each other, but you know there was a lot of love and admiration between them. I will miss Ragnar a lot, not only because he was an amazing character on his own, but because of the complex relationships he had on the show. Fimmel was seriously incredible in this role, I could not imagine anyone else in the entire world doing Ragnar more justice.

This is exactly what I've been looking for! Great montage man! Ubbe looks just like Ragnar's youth but it is Björn who has Ragnar's heart and mind. Also it is just stupid that the last scene was cut from the original episode, it is a great scene that shows the relationship that Ragnar and Björn have...
