You've never seen anything like this. The moment someone abandons their dog in a wheelchair at the airport. This is the story of Dickens, a little dog found on the road in truly terrible conditions. His fight for survival, his adoption, and eventually, the rejection by his adoptive family. Fortunately, Dickens came back to us and has lived in the big house, surrounded by people who have loved and will love him forever. In today's video, we also share the complete story of Mocha, a little dog who witnessed her owner die on the streets and who was subsequently left abandoned by the police, tied to a window.

Well said. As with mistreatment and abandonment of kids, there NEEDS to be implemented the same laws to apply to such sweet, loving, innocent animals as these. And it would be for any country, no matter where! And as for the other dog, the owners have NEEDS to be taken away. Who knows if that dog is being mistreated as well. Simply know all about and have that much love to give and devote your time. If not, don't waste an animals time, just to be heartbroken or heartbroken again.

Poor Dickens. I can understand if a family realizes they can't handle a handicapped dog, after all you don't know until you try. But leaving him alone at the airport is unforgivable. I hope their friends and family know what kind of people they are and are careful not to trust them.

Dickens story is heartbreaking. When people want to take care of a pet, please think about it carefully and the responsibility that goes with it. Don't waste animal rescues organisations time. A pet should be for life. I understand Dickens was with this adoptive family for eight months and bonded with the family? Then he gets dumped at the airport, to be picked up, with no explanation? Who does that? Karma is powerful thing. Seeing Dickens looking for his adoptive family at the airport, who betrayed him, is heartbreaking to watch. He looks bewildered and confused. At least at Lets Adopt, he is happy and loved. Maybe he can be a "therapy dog" for other dogs who come to the sanctuary. At least Lets Adopt gives him the love and care he deserves. Also Dickens has such beautiful soulful eyes. Such a beautiful wise soul. That family never deserved Dickens and its their loss. That family have other pets and children? Makes me wander what they are really like??? Karma is powerful.

As cruel as Dickens abandonment was he is much better off. His body language was always closed. He wasn't truly happy or really felt loved until he was with the people at the Great House. From the groomers to all his caregivers he knows he is special and loved. Taking care of a dog that size (whether special needs or not) is a time consuming commitment, doubly so with special needs. While all pets desires and deserves a loving forever home Dickens has that with the people surrounding him every day. It's obvious all of you are wonderful, loving, and caring people. It is said that animals do not have souls. This gives us pause . . . Seems the humans in this instance were without souls or any other redeeming features. Worthless individuals. I am in tears....I know Moccas story, but not the story of Dickens. How can anybody leave a dog behind and just disappear. Do they never think back of what happened to their dog? How brutal and cruel is such a person??? With Mocca it was differend, her owner died, at least the neighbours cared enough to ask for help. Sometimes you find love and happiness, late in life, when you are lucky. Once again, heartfelt thanks to Victor and his team to give care and love to almost forgotten souls.😗🐕❤🐾🐾

I feel for This dogg-child...and i Feel the same way you do...but on the other hand...its better for Dickens ...to be rescued again and found by Viktor(hopefully the people who 1st adopted him let Viktor know) otherwise than just leaving Him on his own on the street...and i sincerely hope The people who take care of the animalchildren at "the great house" are Always loving and carering...Off camera...like On camera...i Hope and believe in my heart They are. A special needs dog needs more attention and care....and belongs to a home that could focus on him...especially in his past the damage that he already suffered... and now to be dumped at an airport...seriously do these people sleep at night.???? Truly you have an amazing staff. Working with any disabled animal is not easy. Having to help these poor babies release them self and then cleaning them takes a lot of work. Have seen sweet Dickens in videos, but never heard his story. At least his story of him being at the Great House. Hate that he was just abandoned at the airport, but thankful he made his way back to you. To me, he didn't seem/look happy with the adopted family. But once back at the Great House, he seemed to be happy. He's such a handsome boy when he gets groomed,❤ Think he is just a big love bug😅❤.

The cruelty of man is something that is so hard to fathom. It's better, of course, if the family felt Dickens was a burden with which was beyond their capacity to cope that they surrender him. Bah déjà il y a de minuscules cages pour rongeurs... je ne comprends pas comment on peut garder des petits animaux dans de si petites cages. Dickens avait l'air enfermé dans une pièce, je suppose que c'est là qu'il devait dormir, seul. On ne ressent aucun amour dans cette vidéo avec la famille, meme l'enfant na pas lair de l'aimer! They abandoned Dickens at the airport eight months after adopting him. This happened quite a few years ago and he has stayed with the Let's Adopt team since along with some other disabled dogs.

Not me ... I hope they never know peace for doing this despicable act. If you can't fulfill your responsibility to care for a special needs animal have the human decency to return them to the rescue organization you got them from. SHEESH PEOPLE!!! Think about someone else for once rather than yourself.

What a pity those adopters could not just admit they found coping with poor Dickens too difficult and return him in a less distressful way. He is so lovely. Mocca was transformed thanks to skill of Moises! Great to see her relaxed and happy. 🐕 💜💛💚 🐶

Holy shit!!!!!!! No wonder Dickens wouldn't let them pet him (merely for the show)... He could feel their fakeness and toxic energy... no decent human would do what they did, but I'm so thrilled for Dickens since he deserves way better! My heart is broken for the other baby and their human kid...😢

I'm pretty sure he never felt love there... and that's why I'm also heartbroken for the rest of the kids, human and animal alike... those individuals who treat others, including their biological kids like trophies, don't know love. All they care about is supply... what is it in ot for me? They are abusers and manipulators and can only destroy...

When my Boston terrier died 2 years ago after 16 an half... I cried for so long.... I said i would never get that close again. And although i didn't get another Winston im too old now . I said nothing will make me as sad as it was to loose Winston but here i am watching these amazing people giving life back to our precious pets and i have cried for these beautiful animals more tears of both sadness and joy. These videos of animals and saving children are the closest feeling to heaven be there one. ❤

The tears flow for Dickens, and all others like him.Where does such cruel it’s come from? How can the love and loyalty like this be disregarded in this way? I’m not ashamed of my crying out loud. Or my broken heart for this strong ,brave warrior. I know he wonders why? He thinks he did something wrong to deserve this and the truth is he DID NOT! He loved and served his master as only he knew how and for doing so he was treated with cruelty. My heart will never stop weeping. I will never understand. I want so much to do something to make it all better And I hurt because I can’t.I did not want to read this but I made myself because if there is anything that can be done I want to know. Please God help me to learn how. Show me the way! They all deserve love and help. In The name of Jesus our Lord and Savior. Amen
