england martinez You are right, man, but it's not our bussiness what he is doing, i would fucking love to hear that Euge would go back to Shining, he and Peter Huss(and the band itself) are my biggest inspiration but, hey, as i said, it's not our problem what he decide.Let's enjoy by the fact that he was in band and he left his mark on it. :D All the best, dude

Old Marshall with a good overdrive or distortion pedal is great. My & Peter's sound is actually closer to British rock sound than a typical high gain metal sound. Live we both used Marshall JCM2000 DSL heads and Marshall 4x12 cabinets. Only the clean channel and we used distortion pedals to get the heavy crunch. I used mainly Friedman BE-OD distortion in a combination with MXR GT-OD overdrive and Peter used mainly Tommy Folkesson's Raptor. RAWK! On the older albums that Niklas played guitar on the sound is much more distorted but I don't know what gear he used then :-)

There's another alternative for anyone interested in playing this song as the studio version without developing tendinosis: try the tuning D -A - D - F - A - D.

Funny thing, after watching this I got curious and went looking for some live video of the song to see how you play it and found this one where Niklas is paying close attention to how Peter is playing the first riff and then going to see how are you playing it. Hah haa! That's just Niklas. This was one of the first times we played the song and to be honest this performance sucks in general. Not the best / tightest playing from us :-D. You're welcome!
