In this video, we take a trip through the Hungarian winelands of Villány. Their are many competitors for top wine spot in Hungary, from Tokaj in the north east with their bright and sultry whites, to Szekszard and Eger with the dark reds and then about 20 other little spots; you know Balaton Felvidéks, Matra, even little Somló. Hungary is really just a big fat meadow filled with wine and thermal water. But is Villány the king of them all? Come join me and see for yourself.

Villány is famous for red wines specifically Cabernet Franc where its been said the variety has found a new home

Willy, did you know the American viticulture was started by Ágoston Haraszty in Sonoma California with the Bueno Vista vinery. He had two sons and they're married the two daughters of Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo on one Saturday. Senior Guadalupe was the last Mexican general but Fremont took over as part of the American expansion final stage. Later on Mister Haraszty designed the streets of San Diego.
