In the late 1800 century, the Anglican mission renamed the village from "Pakuri" to St. Cuthbert Mission. Can Dr. Irfan use his executive privilege and rename the village from St. Cuthbert Mission back to the Arawak name Pakuri. It will be nice way for them to preserve their culture. Thank You Denny, Great Video.

An excellent suggestion. Hopefully it gets to his ears 👍🏾

Pakuri was located miles away, named by ancestors who settled earlier and were in search of higher ground,as well as hunting ground.Missionary Anglican priests met them at Pakuri named after some Pakuri trees in lower lands, where it flooded often. The Missionaries saw the plight and took them to a higher ground.A church was built which is St Cuthbert's,the wee settlement made up of about 10 agreed to name the wee settlement St Cuthbert's.In addition to enhance their lives,a school was built also managed by the Missionaries. Those orchestrating this move of a name change, are hypocrites as their families are somewhat related to the Missionaries.Renaming will not change the history and to what extreme, sacrifice, they endured poverty to assist in time of need.Super Heroes! Forever grateful! ❤❤❤❤

I agree that St.Cuthberth should be renamed to Pakuri.👍 Amerindians are a humble race, very warm and welcoming. Your journey on that sunny day seemed very inviting, but what it's like on a rainy day. The Government needs to modernise the area for these lovely people. They are full of contentment. They use every part of a tree for some health purpose. They are blessed with good resilience and intelligence. Love from 🇬🇧 ps, I only recently started watching these videos, and regret not viewing before 😢

Thanks again for another educational and exciting video, Locals and folks abroad need to see how peaceful and happy the Amerindians live away from the everyday hassle, it’s the way forward for the government to develop housing projects in these communities since they are much higher than the coastal plain which is below see level.
