When I lived in L.A. back in 1980-81 I dated a girl who's family had migrated to the U.S. from Denmark just after WWII. Her mother had lived under the Germans and her grandfather had to be hidden (not sure why because they were not Jewish.) As she grew up her mother would not let either her or her brother watch any movie or television show about the Germans during WWII. I could tell that living under German occupation made a huge impact on her mother. My perspective of WWII was from what my relatives who lived in Texas experienced and other than my uncle who was in the US Navy and who fought in the Pacific talked about everything was about being inconvenienced by the war effort. I could tell the experiences of her family from Denmark and my family from Texas were vastly different.

If you add up all the people being killed by Israel for its entire lifetime, from 1948 onwards to today, using the highest estimated death tolls for not just Israel, but also their neighbours, then you get six months worth of killing in the Syrian civil war taken over the last decade. My question is then, where are the Syrian flags? Where are the protest marches? Do Syrian lives not matter?

What's most sad is there are much more bad leaders as Hitler was, ruling many countries right now, but people has no memory. God bless you Babu

That's true, at least relative to population size there were several Chinese civil wars that could be considered bigger genocides. I suppose the Holocaust is the first time a genocide was perpetrated using industrial technology, that's what made it so haunting. Whereas beforehand the bloodshed was just low tech, machetes, spears, starvation, for the first time a group of people was able to use sophisticated technology to murder millions of people, showing what we're now capable of.
