Seeing this makes me wonder just what each of them did to get to this point And I can only imagine how long it would take for either of them to become morally grey without their brothers to light up their lives. Im really curious about one of the scenes you drew, i figured the tendrils where krang, the crackled had was Mikey and the eye was Raph. Does that mean the Krang incident was successful but ended with Raph and Mikeys death? Leading Leo to go off the deep end? (1:31 is the scene) And i just loved how traditionally dressed Donnie is in the end compared to Leo, where hes seemingly dressed as a Hamato ninja. A ninja meant to get rid of evil, which at this point, is his own brother.

Mikey and Raph are still very much alive! It's just that this animatic focuses on the Leo and Donnie side of conflict during this time. Leo has his own set of problems with Mikey and Raph as well! That scene with the Kraang was more to illustrate why Leo started falling in the first place, because of the fear that there will always be Something that will try to hurt his family.

I need you to understand that I have not genuinely spilled tears at an animatic in at least a year. "I'm glad it was you" and Leo closing his eyes got me. I'm legitimately crying more at an animatic than I have in so long, and the art is so good and everything about it is just so good I can't even be upset about it. I haaaate how hurt Donnie looks, I haaaate how Leo is just smiling, how he just. GHaufyhaeufie (to be clear when I say hate I mean I love it I'm just having so many feelings about it). FUCKING FEELINGS how dare you. All of this is positive I just have not had to type animatic compliments THROUGH LITERAL TEARS IN A WHILE FUCK. I'll be off to drown myself in Disaster Twin fluff now thank you this is honestly amazing and the expressions, lighting, the drawings - everything is done so well. The way Donnie is cast in a more villainous light when Leo realizes it's him is so fucking interesting to me, and maybe if I have braincells later I'll come back and see if I can pull some more specific thoughts on the entire thing without crying XD.

Even SADDER ending unlocked - Donnie holds the gun to Leo’s head. He drops his arm. He can’t do it, he can’t shoot his own brother. Leo looks in Donnie’s eyes kindly. He smiles as he hold Donnie’s hand with the gun, back to his head. “Hey bud. I know I may not have done the BEST choices in life. Let’s say we end this shall we hermano?” As he pulls the trigger himself. Donnie, now devastated, falls to his knees and finds himself hugging his dead brother. The news says the villain has been beaten, that justice was served! But… was he really a villain, or was he a hero who took the wrong steps? Was it justice if a brother was killed? Well… It’s too late to find that out.
