As a lifelong Tar Heel hoops fan, this one still hurts. The sheer range of emotion i felt over the last 5 or so minutes of the game, as UNC clawed back n battled, and then Marcus Paige drains that absurd circus shot, I felt it was destiny... And it was... It was destiny... For Villanova... For Kris Jenkins... For the greatest ending to a national title game since Jimmy V. It broke my heart, no doubt about that, but damn what an ending. The wounds healed the next year as we cut down the nets... But between the 2003 ALCS "Aaron Fucking Boone", The Stanley Cup Finals Game 6, down 3-2 in series, where my beloved Bruins were up by 1, and gave up 2 goals in the last minute, to lose the Cup to Chicago, and this shot, that's my personal top 3 most painful losses in my life as a sports fan. Brutal. Ugh But alas, and eternally so, thank God "There's always next season"
