Warsaw actually very nice city. I went up top of that tower. Some good views. The old town is lovely. The legia fans are definitely a level up atmosphere wise. Wish we had all the ultras displays. Flares etc in the UK

Warsaw was a cracking place. I know we lost, but it’s all about the trip and the experience and Legia provided most of that. My only gripe was the number of empty seats - those fans shouldn’t get that on their away history.

In Poland we have such regulations that there must be such empty spaces between the sectors of hosts and guests for security reasons. I was in the stands and apart from such buffer zones there were no vacant seats. All available tickets have been sold out@@Fuxser

This game was sold out, just like most Legia league games, to not mention those in european competitions. Just like someone said earlier, in Poland they have to have buffer zone between local and away fans.

objectively: these vacant seats are imposed from above by regulations. they are there to separate you from the Legia fans so that you don't get punched in the face. Similarly, you write that there are a lot of police: the police were also there to protect you, because Legia fans would destroy you in the city in 10 minutes. You wouldn't even make it to the stadium ;)

Fantastic, optimistic video :) Greetings from Poland. I must admit that the result was a big surprise. We have a huge history of losing to very anonymous, semi-amateur even teams in european cups ;) so any team from a league such as Premier League or Primera Division or Serie A usually means losing ;p but in last 1-2 years, polish teams such as Legia, Rakow, Pogon, Lech kind of switched their mental. They're actually trying to play football, have faith in their own skills, do not focus too much about the rival and here, this time it worked. I mean Legia also won vs Leicester some time ago. But yea, I guess second leg will be a totally different story ;)

Leicester City fan here. Really enjoyed your video, and I would say that in 41 years of watching football Legia Warsaw fans were the loudest. We went there in 2021 and had the same experience as Villa. Btw, watch out when they come to Villa Park. Their fans injured more policemen in one night at the KP than were injured in the previous 20 years. They also tried to smash up one of our pubs.

It was very nice to host you, I'm glad you liked it. as for the pyrotechnics you were talking about, they weren't there after UEFA imposed a suspended penalty on Legia, so if we had fired them, they would have closed the stadium for the remaining two matches.

The 1500 Police wasn’t there for you guys 😂 it was to protect you from the Varsovians. Also this is a standard practice in Poland on match days in highest leagues. Don’t forget Poland is a little bit of a Police state. Loads of superb Police forces there not to be messed with. Lastly whilst I get what you meant saying your accommodation had this “Eastern European vibe” Poland is in CENTRAL EUROPE! Countries like Ukraine, Belarus, Russia are Eastern Europe - check the map. Great atmosphete, friendly city, nice people, lot of police but JUST IN CASE doing their job, which is standing and watching NOT PROVOKING anyone, not stopping english fans nor banning them from certain areas. And magically - in Villa the same nice polish people become agressive? Or maybe - your police and decisions of your club were unjust and disrespectful?
