I have this 75 on my xt3 with battery grip. Balances and handles perfectly for portrait shoots. Insanely sharp wide open. Love it and the results I get. Thanks for anither video tongue!

I have the Viltrox 75mm f1.2. Amazing lens. I sold my 50mm f1.0 and 90mm f2 because of this lens.

It's completely different focal length and purpose. 50 f1.0 has no alternative if you need to shoot portraits in a tight spaces or small apartments for example.

Great video, I’ve been considering it. I might have to rent it to see if would have a home in my kit! The 90mm f2 replaced my 56mm 1.2 as my favorite Fujifilm lens. Who knows what the future holds!

Eventually I’ll get this lens. I have the 90 f2 so I’m in no hurry. I was worried about AF speed, glad they made it better with firmware. I’ll give Viltrox credit, they do update their lenses to make them better.

Awesome review 👌 I bought and tested out the 75mm lens and the images were great until I used my gf80mm on my gfx50r and 😮 nothing comes close to the gf80mm but the viltrox is a huge bargain and still fantastic image quality

I love you too. If I could afford one ONE lens between the 56 f/1.2 WR, 90mm f/2, and the Viltrox, I think I would still go for the 56mm WR. Closer focusing, good length for outdoor AND indoor use (a big one for me), razor-sharp wide open, awesome bokeh etc. etc. If you like this 75, I have a feeling you'll love the 56mm too. That said I'll probably snap and buy the Viltrox at some point - I really like their other lenses. But I was hoping this one would have snappier AF. Would you say the 90mm is faster?

It’s a great lens, a beast! Fantastic quality for the price, but that size and weight is just too much for me personally and that holds me back from getting it… I’m always been a fan of 105mm on ff, and I wish this was or Fuji could release a 70mm which would be closer to that field of view in a f1.4 version which is more of a size and weight of the new 56… Fuji should definitively close that gap between 56 and 90 with fast aperture prime and xf70mm f1.4 that weighs around 450g would be great addition to the line imo…

Man, people hate swirly bokeh but I think it’s awesome. When I see a photo with that bokeh I’m always like, “ ooh, what lens is THAT?!” It’s ok, everyone else can have their “creamy” bokeh and boring photos!

I am going to japan soon and I plan to sell my 18-55 and buy the viltrox 13 1.4, fuji 35mm f2 and I cannot decide between the xf 56 1.2 wr or the viltrox 75. I think my main concern is if the weight of the 75 will be too much even if i buy a hand grip for my xt3 also the size may affect my street shots. Any chance you could let me know which you think is the better option?

Honestly both lenses the 56 and the viltrox is going to make your lens a bit front heavy. But the 56 is the lighter choice but not by much.

There's a 27mm f/1.2 by Viltrox coming out right? The XF18mm f/1.4, 27mm f/1.2 and 75mm f/1.2 could make a solid 3 lens set.

@@Iamtongue Can't be helped. Fast wide angles will always be large, just physics. Just compare the Viltrox 13mm f/1.4 vs Sony 20mm f/1.8. Viltrox is a monster compared to Sony.

The video af racks focus smooth I like that.. I wouldn’t use manual focus on it. I like the look it gives for video but this is not but I don’t use it often. I use it for some of my b-roll product shots from time to time. But I really need space to use it.

I have the 56mm f1.2, the 90mm f2 and now the Viltrox 75mm f1.2. I would say if there is any disadvantage with the Viltrox it’s the weight. The AF is as good as the 56mm (I have the original 56mm lens not mk2) but not as good as the 90mm f2. But the image quality from the Viltrox is superb. I tend to use it on my XH2s with the battery pack and it sits well on that combo. However overall I’m delighted with it. Already have some sooc images and I’m delighted with them.

Is anyone else's focus ring really sticky or stiff? Mine isn't smooth as butter like my Fuji lenses and it's borderline unusable when trying to manual focus just because of how jumpy it is. Wondering if I have a bad copy... otherwise it's an amazing lens. :\
