Vince is absolute class. I think he's one of the more underrated players in history. He became an absolute knockdown shooter as his career progressed, aged gracefully and mentored... he's a hall-of-fame player, but an even better all-around person. Glad to see him shining in his media position already like he do. Much respect, Vinsanity♡

I was there! @0:16 in the background just as the ball goes through hoop on the wide replay. Yellow Lakers warm up top, short black hair. The roar of the crowd almost shook the house down. It was really quiet... like shock... for the first few seconds, and then it grew into a roar I'll never forget. People had their hands on their head in total disbelief. It was incredible. The whole game was a clinic to watch... France wasn't even close. But holy crap this dunk. It happened directly in front of me. One of the top five best moments of my life to witness that. Best dunk in a game... ever. Jordan's base line faking out half the Knicks team was a close second in terms of total domination of an opponent in an actual game. But this one... this one is life changing. I'll never forget it.

Since you guys seem to not know, Weis was drafted in 99 and the Knicks did not need him immediately. They were going to sign him for the 2000 season to add depth after getting rid of Ewing but this dunk highlighted flaws in his athleticism so they never bothered.

When people say that Vince Carter is the best dunker of all time, they're 100% correct. The reason for this is mostly because this one (particular) dunk he pulled off one of those many dunks (along with at least 90% of his other dunks) nobody believed were possible to do (until they saw him master all of them). That's why he's the best dunker of all time.

shere Khan, come on he attempted to suicide 8 years after ? It wasn't because of this dunk try to look for the real reason. I'm not good enough in english to explain it but it wasn't because of this dunk. He had family and alcoholic problems.

The thing is, Vince barely had time to get any momentum for the dunk. He cuts the pass dribbles twice and immediately jumps over the guys. In the slam dunk contest, when they jump over a guy, they have to set up everything perfectly and time it to a tee.
