I don’t think she struggled at all. The earlier videos with them when they first started becoming friends was obvious. She wanted him and I think she pursued him until she gothim. I’m sure he didn’t fight it off but her being the “good Christian girl,”and making her millions from being a Christian was very, two-faced.

She has never revealed the truth about the suffering she had to endure at the hands of her first husband, for the sake of her children by him. Hence she became the target of criticism in the Christian world. She said that one day the truth will be revealed, but not by her. Her first husband was also extremely jealous of her success.

Her children have suffered & she destroyed 2 marriages. There's a reason that she's still in counseling with some of those children. She hurt them terribly. And I think her early marriage was hard with Gary, but he had kicked the drugs & was trying. My early marriage was just as hard, but I didn't run after another woman's husband...I dug deeper & drew closer to Jesus. I do pray for Amy Grant. I desire to see her honoring our Lord Jesus & seeking to follow His Word & not the worldly path she's chosen❤

Apparently that song, despite how it was first interpreted by listeners, was not about Amys' love for her partner or husband of that era (though it's easy to see how it can be taken as such), it is in fact, quite literally, about the love for her little baby girl.
