Totally agree. Chuck and his relationship with Saul, both for plot and the dynamic between them in their scenes, was the best part of the show for the first 3 seasons. It was only after he died that Kim developed into the character that she became, so it was awesome to see him in the flashback scene.

"What is the problem that becoming Saul Goodman solves?" is such a brilliant approach to crafting this show's story. Even more amazing is that Kim was not planned to be such a crucial character at the start - the writers simply discovered that they were holding an incredible love story in their hands from the strength of Rhea's performance.

Lalos story wouldn't be any good, salamancas became a boss but they didn't adapt with the modern world. They would decline and it was coming. Don eladios rise would be something to see, dude is the biggest boss in mexico and lived like a king until gus poisoned his cartel.

@@md.mohaiminulislam9618 lol lalo's story wouldn't be as good? his character is the most charismatic in the entire bb/bcs universe and he's "the chosen" salamanca. it wouldn't fit the style of gould/gilligan to make a show entirely about a cartel though so no way a spinoff is done. If there were one, the Salamancas [Hector, Lalo, Tuco, the Twins] AND Eladio/Bolsa. Plus, it's still a mystery what Gus was doing in Chile & how he went from chicken man to drug dealer.

In a vacuum, you're absolutely right. Lalo is the most interesting story, by far. But it was hard to do just one prequel with all the actors getting older. Imagine trying to do another with actors in their 50's-60's trying to play 20-year-olds. If they ever did another spin-off, I think there's only one direction they can go and that's after the final episode of BCS.

Jimmy is inspired by Kim coming forward to atone for his own sins. I think he had every intention of taking the 7 year deal until he heard the news about Kim going to the DA and then Howard's wife. It changed his plans completely because he understood why he did it. And that's why we get the 4th and final Jimmy persona: from Slippin' Jimmy to Saul Goodman to Gene Takovic to James McGill.

I loved how the show ended. Jimmy proving to himself, the audience, and the prosecution representing everyone that always doubted his ability as a lawyer that he's become one of the best lawyers around. Perhaps even better than his brother Chuck despite their different approaches to practicing law. Where Chuck was practically worshipped in the field while Jimmy was always castigated and told by his clients that he was a lawyer only guilty people hire. After proving that, he didn't need the Saul persona anymore and the only thing Jimmy really needed now to feel fulfilled was Kim's approval and show her that he's back to being the man she fell in love with years ago.

Im sure Vince will not be reading these comments, but i dont think Saul committed 87 years worth of sins. He didnt even kill anyone. Everyone want a lawyer like Saul, he seems to have paid for everyones sins. My opinion aside the whole show incuding the ending was brilliant. And i dont think anyone has ever pulled off a prequel and a sequel at the same time. Genious.

Loved every second of this. I'm from across the pond and have just finished watching BCS. Never thought , in my lifetime, that anything would be better than BB but BCS just is. First time I've actually seen what Vince looks like. I doubt if any of them read these comments but a mighty Thank You to each and every one of you involved in this tele - visual masterpiece. A new meaning to the definition of smart tv. The acting from all concerned was simply outstanding . Rhea's breakdown must be given an award all by itself. Never seen anything like it. Bob's acting throughout, faultless. Sublime.

The reason the prosecutor's no-loss record was of note was only in part to show that he was good. It was also leverage Saul used to press home that he posed a threat to that record, which was a big part of that guy's rep and prospects down the line.
