That interview's been out for like 5 days, and yet, nobody has called Punk a liar.

There is a massive difference between NWA, TNA, and every other company out there from AEW. The other companies see themselves as an actual alternative to WWE, that you can watch both, and get a real, well rounded spectrum of entertainment. TK sees AEW as a competitor, a place that should be the top, and that WWE is there to be beaten. For as long as he sees it in that sense, it will never succeed.

The biggest problem is, CM Punk, as he said, is trying to do business. Trying to make money, which is what wrestling is all about. All this garbage that was started by the so-called "elite" leaking lies about Phil Brooks to the press has further damaged a business that is getting less than 1/3 the TV rating at best that WCW was getting in their final days. Punk even said it himself. He was uncomfortable having shoot interviews that expose the business, but Ariel Helwani invited him on the show and Punk agreed because he's tired of the PR spin from AEW and their friends trying to bury him. Who is going to choose AEW over something else Wednesday, Friday or Saturday nights to see the idiot son of some 90s one-time heartthrob break the window of a rental car? Does he think he's Bill Goldberg? I'm sure the rental company would appreciate that. What a Hollywood brat. I wasn't a Punk fan during his initial WWE run. But I'm becoming one now because for once, there's actually a guy who understands the business. What EC3 said about Shad taking TK checkbook away is a possibility. It happened with TNA. Dixie had access to the Carter coffeers until she didn't and had to sell the company for pennies on the dollar. And while her operation was smaller same thing can still happen with TK. He needs to build a sustainable business that could survive without his father's continuous investment. The fact that TK has so many experienced people in the company to ask for advice on dealing with Wrestlers yet he let's things boil over is absurd. Like if I had been boss of AEW I would have squashed this back with the Hangman situation. I would have told Hangman, Punk had nothing to do with this it was my decision.
