The journalist Vincent Browne has led reporters on to solicitor Brian O'Donnell's Gorse Hill property in South Dublin, hours before the deadline for him to leave the premises.

What is the real difference between the shameless fool from 'The New Land League' who appeared as a guest on this edition of Browne's show, or Patricia Callan from the employer's representative body (an odious person), or politicians like FG's Bernard Durkan? Not much if any. We have a lot of people like this in Ireland, who'll say or do anything for some benefit to them.

Prefer to think of this subject on a very humane level where there are folks in there going through a pretty low time in their lives. Pushing the obvious rich man v poor man arguement aside Browne has defined his own short comings by not being more sensitive to the real story.

This isn't a rich guy vs poor guy arguement. This is a poor guy versus poor guy arguement. This guy is bankrupt and thinks he has the right to live in a 12 million euro house. He is so far removed from reality to think he is in any way entitled to the house and you Sean are removed yourself to be defending him. This is quite simply an absolute disgrace. It's laughable. I'm supposedly richer than he is. If you want to pity someone Sean, pity the homeless or the starving kids all over the world. Not this asshole!!!!

Comment well made and genuine. I'm not into Pity not defending, just empathy. Always will be extremes in world and it's great to have folks like you to tackle those issues. I'm afraid I'm pretty limited. Hope (For VB ) he does'nt try to come a knockin at my our your door. May be he's short of friends and would like others to reciprocate and call on him !!

***** The house might be worth 12 million to Brian O'Donnell but if the bank get their hands on it, it will be off loaded for much less at Brian's expense i would imagine? Anyway the media is definitely portraying this in such a manner to demonise a former wealthy developer. I dont have much sympathy for him to be honest, when you take risks there is always the possibility of losing! Now if all the other evictions happening up and down the country got this much attention....It might take from the positive economy spin though!
