I'm happy to see Pokemon Stadium being really relevant again. I'm now appreciating so much about it I never really did as a kid. I mean come on for N64 with no expansion pack or anything: Great models, effects, animations... All pokemon have so much personality put into them. I've always liked the hype as shit announcer. He even sometimes calls out the specific moved used and will get upset if you use Splash.

Nidoking is actually solid as hell, great ability and movepool, as well as decent stats and typing. Poor Onix on the other hand...even after an evolution and a Mega, he's still at the back of the bus lol.

I'm so happy that Joel likes Pokemon Channel. I've literally only ever known one other Pokemon fan that likes that game and I love it.

Every Pokemon stream Joel takes a note on how forgettable Electabuzz is. When no in game trainer uses it in Gen 1, it is in Red version only, and it requires trade with a held item to evolve, yeah it is forgotten.

They still used these pokemon stadium models in Battle revolution on the wii. Looking at charizard and how blocky pokemon like Jigglypuff look confirms this. After that Gamefreak started using their own 3D models and re using them with better textures

Watching some of these matches is like watching dragonball Z, if all the enemies were replaced with populations of boneless, crippled children.

I dealt with a family similar to the one Joel talked about, but it was my own fucking family and when I'd tell my best friend's mom about it she would get super angry and tell me she was gonna adopt me haha

I've never had the situation to eat sprouted potatoes other than some situations when i was very young, but they are not hazardous to eat if it's once or twice, and obviously not too much of them since eating lot of potatoes that have sprouted have generated toxins which can be a bit much for your liver. So if you accidently left your potato to sprout, peal off the sprouts and boil it. In mashed potato it can work the best otherwise wouldn't recommend it. But if you are eating sprouted potatoes every day or very frequently, than you should definitely stop. I wouldn't have guessed your dad is also capable to play guitar since it sounded like your own independent venture. The Popcorn machine for the mom sounds very precious to state because I'd probably get mine some kitchen utensil too if she needs something. As much as I'd blame the person for the uneducated comment in the thai restaurant it can be probably excused if the lady didn't know where Thailand was located and assumed it belongs to that chinese umbrella, usually if it's a geriatric lady I wouldn't really think too much about it. Obviously it would be best to correct the lady if the person at the counter was in the mood to explain to her why she was wrong. Otherwise she is gonna make a comment like that again which the receiving end won't be so patient with it. One thing that maybe works is that in countries like that which are ran by asian families are probably used to correct people not familiar with asian customs and cuisines which is an ongoing process. I didn't know the High school anti-game snob was the same kid that made Joel walk to the park upon finding it was not the right park. That would take years of your life and that's not only the walking point but knowing you wasted time and energy getting there. I'd maybe add with Contra, Bad Dudes and Ninja Gaiden few more games because you need very little practice knowing how good you did the hard core fridays, and one of them i'm not even joking to say would be half life 2 because you did abh pretty fine, so you won't be the best speedrunner but you will be able to clear that game out quickly. And another game would be King of Monsters.
