Lol there's someone else I follow who experienced this "game", and someone in their comments said almost the same thing: "I love the ominous drums that are constantly droning on in the background, and I love how they're still on while other music is playing. It really adds to the foreboding sense of madness, like we're waiting for a public execution or something."

True, it's constant dramatic music even when the characters are just having a conversation, it makes it feel like everything on screen is something to be worried about, it's a very nerve-wracking viewing experience

it really is a mix of both when you take it all into account. it's a cheap cash-grab, except it has literally nothing to do with any actual disney story unlike something like ratatoing, and the fact its all 1 guy voicing everything combined with how sloppily and hastily he delivers lines with no actual emotion really is like a kid making it up on the spot while playing with their toys.

There's a very simple explanation for the stupid anxiety drums. It's one of Dingo Pictures' stock songs they reuse all the time, and this particular dub just silenced the audio of the original and put that track there to substitute background music. IIRC they've done this at least twice, with two different tracks.

I think Animal Soccer World was my first introduction to the Dingo Pictures filmography, and in a video that was titled something like "Top 10 worst video game cutscenes", where it was #1 no less. And considering that (including this) I can count 6 videos since 2013 about ASW, it might've also been others' introductions to Dingo as well…

It’s been interesting looking back on earlier videos on these games. Caddicarus basically made Phoenix Games infamous, but the ironic part of that is that the company itself was responsible for, like…10% of their content. That basically being the copy pasted mini games with the jester character. (And of course the hideous box art) This and Dalmatian’s 3 for example were created by Dingo Pictures, an infamous bootleg animation company that created tons of travesties and future memes. But the other kinds like Snow White, Pinocchio, and Peter Pan were actually English versions of polish educational games released on CD-Rom. Insane to think these guys who basically just made the lowest effort content and slapped on some Sony licensing stickers got to be called one of the worst game developers in the industry. Probably more credit than they deserve.

Almost all of the characters in this film have been featured before in other Dingo pictures films. I guess Haas and Ickert decided it would be easier to just expect the viewer to have already watched Dalmations 1&2, Der König der Tiere, Lion and the King, Jamie the little pig, The Bremen Town Musicians, and Wabuu the Cheeky Raccoon than to actually provide some context for the characters in this film. Phoenix games didn't bother letting anybody know that in this re-release.

Ah, Phoenix Games and Dingo Pictures, I own several of their PS1... "games", including Lion and the King. I found it in a used game shop like 15 years ago for £1.50, best 1.50 I've ever spent on a game.
