Horrible fact: The park being advertised at 1:24:36 (which is considered North America's worst) was home to the orca Kiska. She was the last and only captive orca in the country and faced decades of social isolation after the park's other two were forcibly returned to SeaWorld. Earlier this year she died of a bacterial infection. May she rest in peace

The park also bought nearby land where a trailer park stood and forcibly evicted everyone there. The last resident refused to go and when she gave up she instead committed (You know what). The land was never used since.

9:03 I’m the admin from the Gorillaz wiki. So funny story about how the music sounds like Gorillaz, the piano part of Clint Eastwood was actually a prefab backing track that came with the keyboard Damon used to make Clint Eastwood. There’s a good chance, the sound engineer for the commercial made the track in an afternoon not knowing he was using the exact same backing instrumentals for Clint Eastwood.

For the people who want to know, the commercial with Mario holding the brazilian flag is an official commercial from the early 90s announcing the partnership between the deceased brazilian company Playtronic and Nintendo. That was the first time a Nintendo console (SNES) was ever released in Brazil. Edit: I noticed that are also several other brazilian Nintendo commercials here. But i'm not gonna explain all of them.

You know my favorite thing about the Vinesauce community? He started doing corruptions with that original corrupter, which was primitive and bad. It inspired the creation of the RTC, and the corruption tools have evolved to the point of nearly being able to morph any videogame into anything we want. Now? He started doing poops with that primitive and bad youtube poop generator, and it inspired the creation of this new tool, which allows anyone to make a plugin for more effects to add to the random pool. Vinny just does does the stupid things he wants to see in the world and the community makes the tools to do those stupid things even better.

I can confirm from personal experience that the Baby Joey Doll isn't a parody and is in fact real. My Mom had one when she was a kid and I remember her talking about it years later when reminiscing about old toys. For years it was the (*ahem*) Butt of many jokes in my house because it was (as Mom put it) "Anatomically Correct".

I love how local commercials make one commercial and then just recycle it indefinitely. There was a commercial in my area, local, for "Meals On Wheels" and it ran for at least 30 years. It was so distinct and the cars they showed in the commercial were all 80s and early 90s. It's been off-air now for a decade since the company no longer exists.

For the ones who didn´t understand, the commercial is about Nintendo employees saying how they do their best to make your life more "difficult", as in challenging games. The one in the end says "a gente quer que você se exploda", meaning "we want you to explode", meaning that we should be either excited or pissed off about how challenging their games can be.

that was very obviously a minced oath version of "a gente quer que você se foda" (we want you to go fuck yourself), rather than there being a double entendre at play in here - a more accurate translation imo would be "we want you to go frick yourself"

I was already thinking MadClown was Canadian from the Trailer Park Boys showing up during the celeb section but seeing that fucking Marineland commercial was the most obvious sign. As a Canadian that grew up in the 2000s that unlocked a memory for me. To say that ad was overplayed is a massive understatement, it was CONSTANT.
