In the context of the credits fuckery, it's manipulating the strings that are loaded into RAM. Probably. I've never done it before so it's entirely possible, even plausible, that I am wrong. Not sure how the corrupter handles saved corruptions.

I know I'll get hate for this, but I'm really sad that Undertale got pushed on Vinny so hard and was memed to all hell so now he never wants to play it. Imo it's a fantastic game with a great soundtrack, and a sense of humor that feels like something Vinny would've enjoyed. At least Joel was able to play and enjoy it before it was ruined by the fandom. But it doesn't matter now, what's done is done. I understand why some people hate the game or don't want to touch it, I know what it's like to be turned off of something because of bad experiences with fans. I just can't help but feel sad rather than laugh whenever Vinny jokes about it, since it just makes me think of what could have been.

@@WasabiKitCat Undertale is merely average as a game, in this regard it's nothing special. The only special thing about it is that it was meme bait, as a result of that the community it got was the one it deserved.

@@D8W2P4 Have you actually played it before though? That's your opinion and that's fine, but I don't think it's fair to say it deserved it's shitty fandom. If you actually played the game you'd see there's obviously a lot of love put into it, and is so much more than "meme bait." Yes, it contains some jokes that could be considered meme like, but that is such a small percentage of the game. I'm really getting the impression you've never played it if you think the only unique thing about it is "meme bait." Plus, 90% of the games Vinny has played and enjoyed have had way more meme bait, Hypnospace Outlaw for example. The humor in Undertale seems right up his alley.

@@WasabiKitCat The demo was novel and brief. The release of the game was okay, but both the length (for what it was) and the dev's need to subvert "expectations" did cause some damage to the game. Doesn't matter what it is you always get the fanbase you deserve, no exceptions. The meme bait was because of a perpetual delivery much like those of the infamous Wendy's tv ads that had memes in em. The difference is the others are generally crappy games or corruptions if it's a good game.
