Let's start 2022 in a big way, a process never seen before on the canal: removal of a vineyard!
In this construction site we see two New Holland from the F.lli Roman farm (T7.210 and T6.160) engaged in the removal of an old vineyard.
First, the Valentini NA - Navajo 1800 forestry tiller (working width 1.80 meters and rotor with fixed tools with 39 teeth) is used which, with a first pass, grinds the whole plants of the vineyard, then a second pass is given to further refine and grind any remaining pieces.
Then the Valentini FI - Ivan 1000 cutter (working width 1.08 meters and 90 teeth) is used, which works at a depth of 30-35cm and also serves and completely grinds the roots of the plants.
The two machines are really put under stress, the working speed of the T7 for example is about 1 km / h, this is because there is a need for a lot of power in the PTO as the cutter works at 245 rpm!
