Trust me you can, I started off with so far to go and by self teaching for 5 years and having classes for the past year I have learnt to dance like this. If you want to dance, just go for it dude, don't regret it later.

Don't even worry about being "cringe", "embarrassing" etc. Those who put others down for defying their closed minded limits are the embarrassing ones, do what you want whilst you still can.

i'm late, but i hope you really did started practicing. it's basically what @staycfied said, as long as you put effort into it and don't mind negative criticism, i think you'll be fine. i'm also having my struggles with dance because although people say i'm really good at it, i get shy whenever i dance in public and i'm currently working on it and i even went to a local competition just to put myself in a situation where it was imperative to me to do my best and i think it was a good test bc now i feel a lil bit less shy about dancing in public.
