Here we have Vinland Saga: Book One by Makoto Yukimura, published by Kodansha in an oversized deluxe edition. This edition includes volume 1-3 of the Japanese edition of Vinland Saga.
This book is bound in faux leather with embossed design and text. It’s bound in a Smyth-sewn binding and the book opens up very well. The production quality of this book is great.
The book is printed on white thick paper perfect for presenting Yukimura’s art. There’s also additional bonus content with this deluxe edition: you get exclusive color art, insights by the creator on the pivotal moments of the story and maps, concept art as well as behind the scenes details.
This is definitely a book worthy of being called deluxe. It’s just a really well made and thoughtful edition worthy of Yukimura’s fantastic story.
