A well-written movie about Dimebag and Pantera needs to happen. Seriously.

it would never happen unfortunately at least on the Pantera side of it. there are 3 stories as to how the break up occurred and Dime never had his say because some scumfuck decided to kill him.
@dixinears8004

The break up is not the pinnacle of the story. The story should be about the legacy of a modern day guitar legend.

I would like to see a movie about their tension and breakup. Maybe I will take the side where Phil doesn't contact the Abbott brothers for 2 years.

I had a college professor who use to know Vinnie and Dime before they got big. He use to tell me some crazy stories. He once told me how Dime stood up for his brother. During the early hair metal days of Pantera the record label kinda wanted to push Vinnie out because he was a bit overweight and it wasn't the right image they wanted. But Dime stood up for him and made sure his brother stayed. May they both rest in peace.

The Abbott brothers were down to earth. I had the honor of meeting both Dime and Vinnie and you wouldn't know they were two of the biggest rock stars on the planet. In fact how I met Vinnie is he walked up to me at a rock club and introduced himself and I was just a fan. I met Dime on Zakk Wylde's bus and we talked about KISS for a bit and he was also super nice. Great guys who are sorely missed but never forgotten.

I'm asking myself who is going to go into that vault now, preserve those tapes and basically care for all of that material cause Vinnie was basically in charge of overseeing everything released regarding Dimebag. Now with his untimely passing, who's going to be the "caretaker" if you will. Prince had a gazillion songs in the vaults - everybody laid claim to the material - nothing has come out. :( sad, sad turn of events here. I will never forget the one and only time I saw Pantera was on the very last date of The Vulgar Display Tour in San Juan Puerto Rico - hands down, best live band I've ever seen - just relentless and loud. Everybody at one point or other got up on stage, even boxing legend John John Molina got up on stage.

Such humble brothers taken away way too early. I could be having the worst day, and i come home blast some Pantera and 1-2 songs later i'll be in a much better mood.

One of my favorite people in the world. We saw Hellyea at moon stock in Herrin Il. Great show! Loudest band I have seen to date.
