@@MariktheGunslinger at last a game that uses the actual game to show the lore of the game instead of making unrelated spinoffs, tens of books that bring nothing to the table or movies that don't seem all that necessary, it knows that you can put the game's story inside the game itself, which nowadays seems to be a pretty radical concept and while animated objects in indie games are usually the result of possession, robots going rogue, or some sort of evil corporate experiment, the game doesn't even explain how the damn puppets work as if it wasn't considered important you enter you shoot you run you get to the antenna that's it

@@spaceacepl4636 Considering the Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood/Sesame Street style, it's practically implied this is completely normal for the game's world. Heck, the backstory itself is pretty simple-the network shuts the studio down due to declining money and ratings (at least I think I remember ratings playing a part), and with no adults to filter what the puppets watch, they see some pretty messed up stuff on TV (especially since the War on Terror seemed to be around that time frame since Gordon's a war vet) which they can't comprehend due to being children's show characters and having no one to talk them through it, and thus end up a little crazy... with the Unfriendly Neighborhood being comprised of the puppets who completely _broke_ from it and accepted being mean. Thus, Ricky trues to reach out to Gordon to fix the antenna, with him ultimately helping the puppets out with their issues, at the same time overcoming his own issues in the process, and in the best ending, goes on to become the Fred Rogers of the series. That's part of why I love this game; like a certain hippo once said, not every story has to have significance.

I love it's never questioned and It's just how it is.

Yeah, Game Theory with FNAF ruined everything lol. Not everything has a "hidden dark lore", sometimes things just are. I mean obviously the game is kind of a metaphor, which it spells out in the end, but that's all there is to it.

also this universe is different in a variety of ways (the city seems to be a typical new york city style metropolis but the fact that there was a war that was fought at the north seems to hint that this is not the world as we know it; there are also thse health-o-lax health tonics which actually heal the user), so who knows, maybe there's some sort of special technology that only exists in this world and it's so common that gordon isn't that surprised to see all those normans running around

it's practically tradition for kids shows to have their voice actors say the most foul shit off camera

I watched JelloApocalypse (who directed it) play it, and he did talk about how fun it was. I recommand checking his playthrough on his youtube vods channel, you can easily find it ^^
