my mom did the same thing with Mario paint, I wish those tapes still existed. I didn't have this device specifically but I would've loved it as a kid. Hell I'd use it now to see if I can make anything good with it. I think the stamp maker would be the best way to do that

I had one of those as a kid (I think it belonged to my older sibling or even my mom) but I always loved playing around on it. Something about doing digital art on the TV felt so magical to me, probably because I was used to mainly drawing on paper. And now I draw art on a Wacom tablet on my PC :).

So I tried to transcribe all the notes in the second song (the one in "shidian"), and I think I figured out what it's supposed to be. Here's what I came up with: E4 G E A A# B D#5 B4 D#5 E A4 G G#5 E A# G G# E D E I think they're trying to use a blues scale. I'm pretty sure it's in the key of E: it starts and ends on an E. It has all the notes of E pentatonic minor (E G A B D E) but with some accidentals that are a semitone away from the notes in that scale (G# A# D#). And if you try playing it with a swing beat, it sounds a lot better.

Fun fact: Koji Kondo actually composed this music, but anonymously. He didn't want people to know he was doing contract work for another company at the time, but this soundtrack was one of the creations he is most proud of to this day.

The Minute the Music started I broke into uncontrollable fits of laughter. Each second was pain as my face is contorted into a Zach Hadel Caricature, until 3 minutes in where I began to dry heave and cough. I am on the floor of my room having fallen out of my bed, gasping for air as Vincent states with unequalled enthusiasm that this device makes music. I crawl on my hardwood floor towards my bathroom hoping to get away as I drool and cry in twisted pleasure. Finally I reach my destination, light-headed and blurred in my vision, like a sweat covered gremlin I climb into my tub and activate the faucet. Essentially Waterboarding myself back to Sanity. I Drink, coughing up water and blood, seeing starts and astral projecting towards a new level of Nirvana. ⭐⭐⭐ 3/5 starts.

I had a video painter but it was an older one. it had the speaker built in to it i think rather than sending audio to the TV. and i think it was a generally different shape and more bulky.

I had something that looks VERY similar to that when I was a kid, except mine had a Richard Scary game. That's all I can remember about it and I have been trying to figure out what it was called for 30 years. If anyone knows what I'm talking about please let me know. I loved that thing as a kid.
