Those were the days! I was born in 1956, I wish I could live though that again, once wasn't enough. Life was a lot simpler back in those days... I used to love that toy monkey that banged the cymbals together.... lol

Just imagine, a couple decades from now and Gen Z-ers like me will be showcasing Audubon birds (plush birds that had voice boxes with recordings of actual birds according to the species that each one was modeled after), or those gorillas that danced to the Macarena, or robotic dancing and singing fish, among other things.

As nice as some of these toys are, I still feel they're just expensive novelty items. I lived my childhood through the 90's when Lego was really becoming the big thing, I spent hours and hours with the stuff. Alongside that I had some other substantial items such as slot cars and train sets. I really don't see how a smaller me would appreciate these items you show you longer than say... 5 to 10 minutes at a time. As an adult we probably appreciate them a bit more, just because we understand the manufacturing efforts gone into it.
