This is a flip through of my Boho vintage style journal. It is 100 pages, or 200 pages front and back, with three signatures. It is heavily embellished with antique lace, fabric as well as lots of charms, buttons and ephemera, tags and journal cards.

I can see the love in your works of art. I am very textural so different vintage materials, crunchy paper and baubles draw me in! I love the warmth flowers and cute things of the 1910s-1950s but with a balance of soft plain pages to add my own words/photos/memorabilia . 1 Corinthians 13:7 “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” . 🤗

Hi Janis, This Journal is so wonderful. It reminds me of my childhood. My father was a Pastor, and I would go with he and mother to visit members of the Church all of the time. I was around four or five. The ladies would sit me down in front of their old trunks and I would get lost in all of the treasures inside. There were gloves, hats, beautiful scarves, corsages' handkerchiefs, crochet collars, old purses, old pictures, breast pins. Old buttons. old crochet yarn....on and on. this Journal is such a treasure thank you for sharing...Dar

As a newbie to all this. I decoupaged the front and back of a hard back book i found. But do i need to pull all the pages out of it and make the signatures and somehow mount them in there?

Yes, that is one way. The papers are sewn in. If the pages in your book are secure, you can also make a journal using them only,. Some pages would be removed. There are a lot of tutorials on YT for both kinds. Pam, at "The Paper Outpost" has tutorials for beginners, but there are many others too. But, beware. 😆 You may get pulled into this craft/art ..... never to return! 😆
