Vintage Bus Bash 2018 - Oakville Canada

On April 21, 2018 a group of vintage bus owners from the Greater Toronto Area took their beautiful vehicles to the streets of Oakville. It was a fantastic spring day, perfect weather for the occasion!

Ah cool to see one of those older OC TRANSPO busses with the red stripe livery. Honestly I prefer the stripe over the maple leaf used now.

I think they have baby two-strokes in them, something like a 6V53? They really screamed compared to a 71 or 92.

They should put colored lights on the interior bulbs like blue red pink green orange purple to match the inside seats

Not sure if this qualifies as "classic" or "vintage," but the bus company I work for in Orlando operates late 1990s - early 2000s Flyer D40LFs in regular passenger service. When I drove a GO Transit bus in Toronto, I used to love driving the Orion Vs (the 2000s) and the MCI102As (the 1400s). The best buses are the old buses.

I remember the GM fishbowl buses that MCTS at first had until 1985 they where citrus and silver or spearmint and silver because the old county executives where Irish than some got retired for the Neoplan AN440s numbers 3500-3571 3600-3656 the ones they kept got repainted white with a green stripe and upgraded the destination signs some on the passenger side had the old ones still on them they got retired in 2001

anyone know who as a transit owned the Mini new look as Cambridge transit owned 4 or 5 and some of them were ex Galt PUC transit buses in simmaler paint to the one in this get together...I heard a couple may have come from being tested on the TTC on routes in the 1960s where the mini would tail a 40 foot on routes that were every 30 minutes to help with crowding but that's just what I heard from a old time Cambridge driver 25 years ago or more(pre GRT)

They are invite only events for the bus owners and the invite list depends the bus owners.

There was one held in Toronto last year, but with all the traffic , it presented quite a challenge. This year's event ran very smoothly, no traffic issues in the area that was chosen.

Connie Leong I didn't attend last year due to personal reasons, but it was held in Downtown Toronto and the Portlands area.

They should do one in Scarborough since I live in that area. Why not have the one in Bluffers neighborhood?
