I've heard about the Strongsville Card Show for a few years, and I finally had the opportunity to attend it. This is one of the best Vintage Card Shows in the country, and the amount of incredible cards was absolutely mind boggling. Raw cards, graded cards, tobacco cards, Goudey, Topps, Bowman, Caramel, and the list goes on and one. I was absolutely blown away by the sheer volume of the inventory by these dealers, and I had an absolutely blast on the first day.

Thank you so much for taking us to the show. What an incredible Ruth item at the end. I just wanted to let you know coincidentally that I picked up the T206 Lajoie portrait SGC 2.5 at the Chantilly show as that was what I was looking for with some money given to me by my wife for my birthday. Was saving it for the April pickups next month in the show and tell and will give you the price then. The ones you showed were really nice especially the 4.0. All of you looked super happy in that photo. Have a great time!

All I can say is UNBELIEVABLE stuff at that show. Saw plenty of Yaz cards that could go a long way to completing my run. Also saw one of the dealers had the 1954 Bowman Ted Williams aka "the forbidden fruit" card. Ted's contract with Bowman had run out before the card was released, so early in the print run on the 1954 Bowman cards, the card was pulled and replaced by a different Jimmy Piersall at number 66. That photo of Ruth in a Red Sox uniform blew my mind!

So my thoughts on ungraded cards being sold by dealers is that something is wrong with card and or very low grade. Reason if it had a chance to grade high the dealer would get graded. So beware when something looks to good. Thanks for video!

Even though its amazing to see all those cards together, it seemed that Payne was charging way too high. I wouldn't display the self-restraint you show, Graig. You're holding the Lajoie card you're looking for, you like how it looks and the price is decent ,,, and you put it back. In hopes of a lower price elsewhere? I'm sure that dealer would haggle, especially if you know him. What about the credo if you see the card you want, go for it? On another note, it's hard to believe in scarcity when one sees the sheer volume of top-tier vintage cards on offer. Do you get that feeling?

Like going through a museum. Not sure I saw a single card I can afford in those showcases. If I were there, I would be looking for commons boxes to pull 1950s and 1960s Tigers and Lions and any cards I need for 1971 Topps.
