Vintage Coleman Oil Heater Update

4 ай бұрынCheap homesteading installed his vintage Coleman oil heater in his high tunnel greenhouse. He has multiple sources of heat for his greenhouse. He has a woodstove and the Coleman heater. with both running he was able to stay above zero at -10, which was a big improvement from just the woodstove. The woodstove brings the temperature up quick and the oil heater maintains it and slows its descent

Yeah, that’ll definitely help in the greenhouse. Before I had to get up and feed the fire at least once in the middle of the night this way it can run through the night and it doesn’t seem to burn too much fuel. Hopefully it warms up and I won’t have to use it much more this year. Have a blessed day my friend.

Thanks buddy. Hopefully this will be the last little cold patch and it’ll just start warming up. I won’t have to use it too much.

my friend heats is garage with one like that i have one also that i will run on use motor oil will try it for sure

Interesting, I wonder how many gallons per day it uses?

It’s only to heat through the night I burn about 5 L a night that is about 1.3 gallons a night. Once it warms up, I won’t have to use thanks for watching.
