@@UnknownHomie I think there is technically at least one that is newer than the TNG that was released in 2001 and had a slightly different name. If you did not like the one that came out in 2001 it is probably because you were much older than the target demographic when it was released.

I don't know about currently but it has definitely been available in its entirety off and on for years. they even had all of them posted (legitimately from the creators) on YT for a long time.

Degrassi Junior High School got burnt down and they let all the 7th graders (I think 8th now) in Degrassi High.

They bumped Bart, Tessa, and Dorothy up into Caitlin/Joey/Arthur/Yick's 9th grade class. I just assumed like Scooter, they skipped a grade to get in that class since they were prominent enough in DJH. You can see when Dorothy is initiated they painted 9 on her face like the other Grade 9's and they end up in the same classrooms as them.

@@WadeIsInsane Wow, that show took some liberties, I just saw the lost episode from 86 where Tricia was called Christine and in Grade 6 with Yick, and Scooter was in 4th with her brother Ricky. Blows your mind!

Actually, Degrassi is 1 of the very few shows that works with actors who are actually the real life age they are portraying on the show. It's one of the biggest reasons why the show resonates and is so relatable to young people.

I think that they were high school age when these were made though. In The USA, many times high school roles are played by older people because of labor laws.

u actually think they look older than their portrayed age??? a lot of these actors were cast through actual school, therefore making them the age of their characters for the most part.

Deja Vu, Degrassi! Our beloved Canuck teen girls are having deeper, more civilized conversations on this topic in 1989 than the supposed moral majority of adults in the US in 2024. Women and girls are being vigorously policed in 2024 US, while these Canadian teens navigated with some adult supervision. Thankful I had access to Degrassi & other awesome shows on my local PBS stations as a kid/teen! 🙌🏻❣️🫶🏻
