Wonderful haul! I adore those floral embroidery pieces. Not making any suggestion for you only sharing how I embrace ephemera. I'm a family historian and understand the value of historical ephemera so I list my finds on genealogical websites to give family an opportunity to come forward to show interest in the materials. I always scan my ephemera. After a time, I feel better about using original material. If family ever comes forth, there are always copies.

Oh wow thats a really good idea! Although the shop sources their stuff from house clearances which would probably be instructed by family members, some of the items seem very personal to the family so also wonder if there is someone out there who would like to keep hold of these. Thank you so much this suggestion!

Rachel, what terrific buys you found!! I wish I had more shops like this near me in the US! I really loved those hand made tiny floral stitched pieces! Amazing! I also have to say, that you look so young to me in your photo. I'm thrilled that someone of your "tender" age is so into older pieces and antiques! I seem to find that most "kids" today, don't give a toot for antique or vintage pieces. Too bad. So sad. Thank you for this share. You are always fun to watch create and are so well spoken!

Thank you for preserving these As a history teacher, it hurts my heart when people rip up parts of history, but as a crafter I know how beautiful it can be too.

I really love this haul! I really should start scanning my favourite vintage pieces, because right now I just don’t use them because they are to precious... I just don’t really know how to do it. Any chance you could do a tutorial type of video on scanning these pieces? thank you ❤️

That’s a nice little haul you’ve got there Rachel. I’m feeling a little embarrassed to say I have photos of me that are as old as those in your albums. Enjoy yourself working with them. 💕💕

I’m hoping to make a lap style book like the one you’ve just made after Christmas and use some of them in it I have saved all your videos and keep watching them so I got them in my head before I start. 🤗

One other quick comment. How do you get those amazing photos off the two sided photo pages? Seems you will have to pick the better photos from each side of the page and cut them out. Or do you have some "magic" way to unstick them w/out ruining them? I'm having this same dilemma with an album a friend just gave me.

Hi Lynn, sorry for the delay in getting back to you! When I plan on using the photos I always scan them first and save them to your pc, you can then print them onto photo paper so you don't have to use the originals or if you want to remove them from the card then I use a craft knife to peel them away or sometimes cut through the glue. Often old glue either comes right off or doesnt move at all, there's no in-between! Thank you for watching my videos x
