Vintage Film - The Bridport Branch Line 1975

Not sure if this is the last train on the Maiden Newton to Bridport branch line, but it was taken in 1975. By then, the line was never going to be saved and the last of the train links were to be cut.
This short film, taken by Nigel Phillips in 1975, was of one of the last trains to use the line.
I am currently working on a video of the entire line, and the stations, including Maiden Newton, Toller, Powerstock, Bridport, Bridport East and West Bay. If you have any old movie footage of the line, please let me know.

This is great thank you. I used to live in MN and walked the whole line about 10 years after closure. This is all new footage to me. Excellence

Remember the Bridport branch well - thank you for sharing. 👍 With its circuitous route to Dorchester, the change at Maiden Newton was always going to create a significant disadvantage, particularly when compared to the more-direct bus or motor car. 🙁 Would the situation been hugely different had the branch been provided with a through service to Dorchester or even Weymouth? - Maybe not, but sadly we'll never know for certain. 😥
