In today's episode, I'm sharing what sold in my Etsy shop this week, how I clean my brass and make candle sets, and at the end we're going to do a HUGE haul of all the things I got thrifting and at estate sales.

Not sure you have malt vinegar in US. Here in UK you might have noticed people put it on their fish and chips. Well it's also a great brass and copper cleaner. Immerse item in a bowl of water and malt vinegar for a few hours and it comes out clean, ready to shine with a cloth. Particularly striking change for copper.

@@AllPutTogether one more- how long do you generally have items listed before they sell/before you adjust pricing? I need to temper my expectations as a shop owner 😆

I sell a lot of the same stuff, so if it sold once before at that price I will keep it that way indefinitely. Usually rather than reduce the price, I will run a sale for like 20% off and that usually will help move things along.

The textured paint on that large blue abstract painting is called impasto, which is usually put on with a palette knife.

I am loving your haul videos. I am relatively new to your videos and I love that you love color! The wall behind you,is my style. Since I haven’t been with you long, I don’t know the answer to this: where do you buy your candles? Do you thrift them? I live in Florida where it is currently 3 degrees less than the temperature in Hell, and if you don’t store candles inside the wax becomes malleable and you get weird patterns or dents in them. When I buy them at places like Goodwill or Red White and Blue, they tend to be not something I would want to use for staging.

Thanks for the cleaning brass tutorial. I have a brass tray that I just found and I need to clean it up and I will use your method. What are the dates in April for your sale?? And the 2 pieces of artwork for your house are super fantastic. So much fun to decorate with fun and unique items.

Great video thank you for sharing your cleaning tip can it be used on copper I have a vintage tea pot with ceramic handle but since I bought second hand I think it brass but could have copper. Thank you!

I don't know if someone has said this yet but those candle holders look like they could be myrtlewood which is a cottage carving industry here in Oregon. I find a lot of it in the thrift stores here and I pick it up if it's in good condition. My favorite find so far is a myrtlewood lamp!
