I love your typewriter. I have always wanted an old typewriter. One that works. But I would take one that doesn't work. A digital kit of typewriters would be beautiful. I bet your home is decorated very lovely. I love antique books as well. Would love to see your collection. I could easily live in a bookstore or library. I probably should have been a librarian. I love seeing your hauls. This one was very special. The dog stamp book! I had one and can remember separating the stamps to put on the correct page. There were others in the series. Cats, birds, horses African animals trees, were some of the ones I had. After lapping a couple of the stamps I would switch to wetting my fingers or pushing the stamps on a wet sponge because glue tasted so bad. I can’t image what happened to those books. Thanks so much for a wonderful flashback.

The treasures you find just blow my mind, Margreth. I spent ages hunting for an old typewriter, but one I can use. I finally picked one up off Facebook for $20 in January. Worst thing I ever did was get rid of the old vintage typewriter I got one Christmas when I was little. Mum and Dad couldn't afford a new one and vintage wasn't so costly back then. It was a treasure to me and VERY heavy. But in my youthful indiscretion, I traded it in on a fancy electronic one in my teens, which I ended up not liking at all. #regrets ❤ Belinda

Morning Margreth, WOW, WOW, WOW, what a wonderful haul. Love the music lyric papers, lucky you for this discovery. When I saw the books I nearly cried, they are wonderful and the Edith Holden 🥰🤩🤩 I have been HUNTING one for years now, not even the paper back one, I have asked everyone I have come across, not even the Auction Rooms, they HAVEN'T EVEN HEARD OF HER!!!!!!! 🤫🤫 I was flabbergasted.🤔🤔🤔 ANYHOOOOOOO, loved your goodies, would love to visit your shops with you, I think I could fill many suitcases. I saw your video on KZfaq, but I couldn’t watch it right then. But the little green book with the tree in the oval caught my eye and my heart skipped a beat. I just found that book in my memories file. My mother gave that to me 60 years ago with a big sketchbook. I did my first real drawing ever from that book. It was the little boy holding the balloon. I still have it, but I don’t think I can upload it on here. it was in colored pencil. I actually drew it very accurately, considering my age at the time Second: before I saw your video, I was online looking for that Edith Holden book. There’s one on sale on amazon for $17, but most are $40 & up + shipping everywhere. Lastly, re: old typewriter: put it out at Christmas. Type a letter to Santa, and decorate around it with garland, etc.. Thank you for showing us all these beautiful things that you found. I truly enjoy watching your work .

The curtain was Broderie Anglaise. The top part probably of a cafe curtain used in kitchen windows or originally back in the day as curtains in a glass fronted cafe. Yes I would have picked up the typewriter and displayed it with my office hole punch and office long stapler, both in that jet black. Awesome haul. Love it.

I ,too, found Edith Holden bookS while I was travelling this April in Victoria BC. One was $12.50 and the other was $15. But i was happy to get them. I also got the Holden book, Nature Notes. But a far cry from the first Edith book i bought, before i knew their worth, about 15 years ago, for $2.00!!!! But now I have 3, and I can cut one up. Love your treasure adventures. You inspire me. I have the "my first cookbook" english version!! Someone bought it for me when i was young, and i still have it. There are two recipes in it that our whole family still use too! The 'bacon and potato hotpot' is everyone's favourite and the special chocolate cake at tge back is lovely for a special occasion 😊

Oh ......................... I forgot about the typewriter. YES PLEASE, a project that would be fabulous. I am the proud owner of an old Underwood typewiter, but unfortunatley it doesn't work as we cannot source the ribbon it needs. I still love it, it can just sit there and be beautiful, my new daughter in law thinks I am C R A Z Y !!!!!! Why have something you cannot use, it is only a dust collecter!!!!!!! I told her, I am ALSO a collector of dusty treasures!!!!! , she just laughted and shook her head. I am sure she is wondering what sort of home she is married into!!!! 🤭🤭 Crazy mother in law, but she is also a treasure and we love her lots, she has made my son soooo happy and I love her even more for that!! Oh you make me wish I lived in Nederland. I used to visit there but the last time was around 15 years ago (my great aunt and uncle lived in Amsterdam but they're not with us anymore). Never ever thought antiques and vintage books are so cheap there! If I found an antique Remington for TEN euros I'd faint. Here vintage books (especially the ones with coloured pictures) are ten or twenty times pricier than new books, and new books aren't cheap either. I have lots of vintage Dutch books but not the kind I can scan and use in a junk journal. I also have a set of two Dutch book about Indonesia from 1920s which are very pretty but very fragile so I'm too scared to even flip the pages :D I really really love your treasure hauls video, Miss Margreth.

Wow, awesome haul! Even if you did show the same books before, it wouldn't matter to me. I love seeing your thrifted finds. The typewriter looks amazing. Yes to a typewriter series, please. I worked in an office for 29 years so I adore all things office. I did not use a typewriter as old as yours but I did practice typing on my mom's old manual typewriter. Mine was electric, still have it. No special brand name, just fond memories. I have still not found Edith Holden, so I keep looking. Thank you for sharing!

Plant guide was 1979. The photo corners may be removable with a heat gun. Flower lotto is amazing! The valance is an eyelet fabric. Those spool cards look like Delft! The last of the brown trims is called gimp in the US. The blue beads will go with your Delft cards! The plastic paper with the grid is called Contact Paper in the US- I think because it sticks on contact. The books are fantastic! And, for $10, you bet your sweet boopie I'd pick up that typewriter and take her home. I also think I'd see if I could clean her up and get her working. It would be fun to just type out a few sentiments instead of having to do it in Word or clip a bunch of letter stamps together. The conclusion is that I need to go to the Netherlands to do some thrifting. Here in SoCal there is nothing like this and the prices are horrific. Thanks for sharing your haul.

Margareth, you are dangerous to my wallet 😂after seeing your haul, I got inspired to go to the local thrift shop here. It’s like the place was calling me that day and oh boy! I found a ton of brand new unopened craft items from well known brands!! I got a huge stash and spent $65 almost!! I’ve never ever done that much before but it was a lucky day. I never buy clothing or other stuff but I look for books, vintage items for crafting or made for craft items… it sounds weird but everytime I get the sudden urge to visit there, it’s ended up being a fabulous day of finding goodies 😊. I just don’t find vintage books here like you do in EU. I’d kill to get Edith Holden there but I had to buy online… just one copy.

Klavarscribo is a piano keyboard system originally . I taught myself the piano using this system. It’s Dutch.

Oh my, I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom and I know what it’s like as I have lost both of my parents and a 36 year old niece two weeks ago! I looked up your two videos about getting to know you and you did such a great job! Your Dad is so fortunate to have you and you will be able to help each other during this horrible loss!

Hi Margreth. Loved your haul this week, some fabulous books, but you are like me and do not like to cut them up once you get them. I always have to find another one to cut up then still don't want to. The typewriter brings back memories, I learnt to type at school on one similar to that, not quite that old. They used to cover the keys so you didn't see the keys. You had to type what was on the board so you learnt to touch type. Yes please to digitals. Loving these hauls and the mass making. What an amazing haul! The typewriter was a must buy!!! I went to a flea market over the weekend and found 6 Dry Goods catalogs. I absolutely thought of you since it is full of advertisements. I couldn't figure out how to send a picture, so just take my word for it you would love it. Lol

😂 How many times you said “it’s Ok because I already have several copies.” 😂 I would love to find any of these treasures, but if I did, it would cost 100 times what you paid. No kidding. So, I get why you go ahead and get several copies. The typewriter was an absolute must at that steal of a price. I saw one once here and they wanted $350.00. Crazy right? I always so enjoy your hauls and you really did get some amazing things at amazing prices. But like I always say, if there is anyone deserving of these treasures, it would be you! I live in Texas, and i looked up that Taunte Pau book and it is $50. used on Ebay & Amazon.. You have a treasure. I did pick up the Countrymans day for $13. Not too bad.

That style of curtain is known a Café Net/curtain and they go on a Café rod to cover the lower portion of the window. They get this name as they were often used at the windows of Café to give the customers privacy while eating but the ability to still see out of the window.

@@SevenplazaCreative It could also be known as a valance, I always think of a Valance as the decorative pleated mini curtain that goes above above a window, often on top of a long pair of curtains. But yeah, it can be used to refer to both styles. When I sold curtains these would have been sold as Café curtains/nets though. Still a lovely piece of Fabric with some beautiful Broderie anglaise.
