I’m in contact with someone who 3D printed a replacement shutter/flywheel. I’ve asked them to provide more detail on how they did it.

The two screws you pointed out, can they not let you raise the shutter shaft, therefore lifting the flywheel away from the side supports?

Really interesting video Stephen. Thank you for sharing it. I've just received a Pathe baby G2 to try to fix/restore, so this is very helpful. There are 3 main issues I have. Firstly, the flywheel/shutter is jammed and very distorted as expected and secondly, the wiring of the 3 pin plug eludes me as I'm not sure of the purpose of a 'shorting plug' in this instance. I have checked out the motor (via a 110v transformer) and it's running OK, so that's a start. Do you have any spare parts available by any chance? Would it be possible to email you directly with my (probably) many questions please, along with a few pictures? Thanks once again for sharing this information. Brian
