That guy speaks very intelligibly. He talks about some details no one would pay attention to, like if he tried to hold on to reality, while being drowned into his hallucinations

It's interesting, almost comical that at 0:20 he says "That's all I have to say" but then starts what turns into a 9 minute quasi monologue - really interesting and reflected guy though, very pleasant speaker, I really hope he managed to get the treatment he needs and was able to live a fulfilled life!

the world fails people like this. highly intelligent, well spoken people, who simply needed help with finding direction in life due to things out of their control. i get sad thinking of all the people who seek help, just to be turned away and become even more insane than going in simply because, there aren’t enough people who truly care, or at least, that’s the world we live in even today.

The “crazy” people back then were more lucid, articulate, and dignified than most “normal” people today.

To be honest I wouldn't have thought he was having a psychotic episode if he was talking to me like that. Fascinating.

We are about the same age and I relate to this guy on another level. I just recently came out of a psychotic episode that lasted around 1.5 years. I lost my memory, my feeling for time and even reality and was very paranoid most of the time. I had to drop out of high school 2 months before graduation because the hallucinations and delusions were too much to handle. I thought I was the devil, I thought that my family were clones. I am still not fully recovered but I learned a lot and I'm slowly starting to feel 'normal' again. I will start an online program to graduate from home in 3 days and I hope to be able to study criminology in the future. To everybody currently struggeling, don't give up on yourself, it gets better. To friends and family members of people with psychosis: don't give up on them, it may seem like you lost your loved one but they are in there. Much love to all ♡

He contradicts himself a lot and is extremely self critical but self aware. I believe he just needed to learn how to cope with his illness that is really something that most people that are sick, can’t do.

There are moments in which his eyes look so sad. Just his eyes say: 'Help me' and things he talks about don't even matter. To me it seems like people like this have a soul that is hurting trapped inside a crazy mind that just goes in circles. I have no doubt that people like him can be dangerous but they are actually in invisible hell.

This guy is a perfect example of how we can all come back from something traumatic. Dude was literally losing his mind but fought to get it back, and you can tell how damaged he was just by how aware he is of what he’s saying possibly sounding crazy because it messed up the trust he has with his mind. Edit: The translation and American romanticism of the French language probably do play a part on my assumption. Nevertheless, he clearly wasn’t completely well yet and don’t know the whole story (or if it’s even been told) but would hope that he came out alright.

What a pure quest this highly intelligent gentleman is on. This video shouldn't be published though as he clearly doesn't give his consent for that. I wished he received what he asked, his girlfriend and his bike. Definetely not crazy, but absorbed and hypnotized by his own conditioned thinking. Much love and blessings to him.

he is such a sensitive, beautiful young man, his drawings clear and very artistic. his metaphor for becoming a new self was very deep inside emotionally - a seed growing from his heart to become a growing new life. i do hope he continued his medication and was able to leave the hospital. he’s such a great guy! - the kind a guy i would have fallen for (i think we’re about the same age, too :)🌷🌱

Reading these comments, I wish people were that nice to me about it. But I’m a “serial killer” or a “school shooter” When all I give is love I’m on meds, very good ones, I still ramble a lot tho and it’s very obvious. Those words they’ve said, still haunts me. I’m not a bad person cuz of my mental illness. It doesn’t mean I’m gonna hurt anyone. The only thing it did was hurting myself, physically, and mentally. You guys are so much more understanding than anyone I’ve met in my life that wasn’t my best friends of many years. This is what I want, ending the stigma. Restored my faith in humanity.

Been following channels like this lately and one idea that suddenly occurred to me is how we (the rest of us) tend to view people like him as just a confused object, whereas now I'm beginning to realize that they see things about life and this world which we don't see. I find that an extremely interesting and fascinating idea, like as if you know someone that always likes to spend time in their bedroom closet - we would just think that's weird - until he allows you in and you enter a whole other large room with all kinds of interesting things, some of it you don't yet understand. I wish we could all be naturally dynamic in our group thinking to be able to appreciate these differences.

Very interesting. So the car accident was his disillusion. There was no accident and this psychotic episode was caused from a bad trip on psychedelic drugs and intoxication. So interesting to hear him speak - he’s very paranoid and his monotone ramblings sound very strange in French. Drugs are crazy sometimes...

10/10 more intelligent and reasonable than the medium individual of today's society. He's also really aware and rational about what happens to him.

Wow. He is so much better in this video. In the first one, he could only answer yes or no questions and often his answers were simply a response regardless of whether he understood or not. His mannerisms were uncontrollable. He could not utter a sentence. It's truly remarkable to amount of progress shown here.

It’s remarkable how significantly a single trauma can affect someone, even subconsciously. I was in a car crash a few months ago - I was okay, no major injuries. Even though I waved it off at the time as insignificant, my anxiety and OCD grew greatly from this, to the point of being obsessionally fearful of my family’s safety, insomnia etc. I hope this man managed to feel healthy and happy again. Also, on a side note, I was very impressed with his vocabulary and how he expressed himself.

He has a clear brain injury from that car wreck. I know someone who had a car wreck and It was just like this. His thoughts were everywhere. He later had brain surgery and had a stroke on the table. It's an awful thing to happen.

I suffer from anxiety and my mind works just like his...not sure whether I sound the same or not. I often go off on tangents like this, probably not as bad but I find all sorts of connections that make ppl confused and not able to keep up. And if I don't speak all that out loud, the word vomit stays inside of my head, while I work, while I speak to ppl, it has no problem running in the background.

i know that nobody's going to beleve me but i strugle every day with thoughts and feelings just like his . i've never seen anyone describe something so similar and vivid like my experiences. I have tried to expres how feel to my closest friends without sounding crazy but i couldnt put it into words . It's shockingly comforting to see that other ppl with those feelings exist.

Back in the 1970's, people got intoxicated to experience a lot of different psychotic things..... it was a spiritual experience for many and still is practiced by some cultures.

Given how dilated his pupils were, it's not hard to imagine how drugged that boy was. ¡How sad!

Then you can start filling up the bin with more stuff." I think this is beautiful. It doesn't have to be a drug induced detox; it can be through any method which makes you feel liberated enough to experience a positive mental change so strong that it consequently positively impacts your physical and spiritual health, too.

I think I had delirium 2 months ago. It wasn't psychosis but it feels like it but is not. I wasn't getting sleep for a few days because I ran out of meds for 3 days and was taking abilify I wasn't supposed to and I started having these extremely vivid dreams that turned into reality where I thought I was talking to old friends and family members, my sister, and mother. I went to the hospital right away and blacked out ahd started doing stuff I had NO idea I was doing. It was crazy. I spent four days in the hospital. two days out of the four feeling out of it and my meds taking time to work. I felt okay on the third day and definitely the day I was getting ready to leave. My mother returned back home but doesn't matter anyways because she's verbally abusive and an alcoholic. I had to stay stuck with her because I couldn't work after college due to depression getting severe plus severe anxiety (panic disorders) so I was afraid to live by myself due to the abuse she caused when I was younger. I hate her for what she did and how she ruined me and my sister's life but I ask God please forgive me and help me change and to bless her.

Wow, all we need is Love. He just needs somebody to believe in him so he can believe in himself, to trust himself, to understand himself better. I loved when he said "I had to fight with my inner self ...my conscious need to appear normal and my subconscious need to express myself." The subconscious mind always wins as it is automatic, we have no control over it except through the conscious mind. Wow, if he was allowed to express himself without judgement, he would satisfy that need and there would be no such conflict. If that video was that old, I don't think that this would have been the case. When was this recorded? Any more information?

He seems to have the spirit of a poet or artist 👨‍🎨 Feels and thinks about things deeply. PTSD can have associated psychosis. Not sure the psychiatrists and psychologists understood PTSD or how to treat it very well back then. Hope he was able to heal and is continuing to have a fulfilling life.

Reading the comments, I think most viewers are not really understanding how messed-up this guy is. While he appears calm and well-spoken, he's rambling around through multiple disconnected subjects even while finding illogical connections with others. He reminds me of a bipolar friend I knew 40+ years ago who would go through similar phases; sometimes she was clearly manic and frenzied, while at other times she could seem rational the way this guy mostly does, even though she really wasn't, unfortunately.

The young adult is quite intelligent, lucid, and deeply introspective. He is not under the severe antipsychotic meds, that render a person , a zombie, or vegetable. Antipsychotics are extremely toxic to the brain. Thankfully, the patient is awake, alert, and very, very smart. Hope he went on to live a productive and happy life. He seems proud of his parents.

There is a video of him at 13-14 really troubled thin with involuntary movements on this channel. He appears better here. The French care of mental illness is much kinder in hospital locked wards than USA.
