@@gregallsmagic a lot of parts here? It's just two screws and a light bulb! The work done is really nice , he's really good at it. Personally , i would have re-used the original bulb with the filter like james has said. It's a vintage lamp , the led makes no sense. and that switch with hot glue isn't going to last so much. what a pity. His skill is awesome.

YES!! I've been wishing for a professional pinstriper for all of these folks restoring and painting magnificent antiques because the lettering doesn't stand up to the rest of their work. My thoughts were to scratch off the paint and let the underlying restored metal shine through-just as you have done here! Awesome work!

One of the reasons that you and my mechanics are my favorite restorers is that you don't use fast forward. A bit here and there is ok, but it's much more relaxing to watch you move at normal speed, but just a bit of each step. Fast forward is more jarring and hard to follow sometimes. We don't need to see them unscrew all 6 screws, for example. I'd much rather watch one screw undone at normal speed and then jump ahead to the next stage. Keep up the amazing work all around!

IF I didn't see it I wouldn't believe it! This is great! I like the second LED bulb better - it filled the lantern more. But of course I like the original bulb best. Thank you once again for sharing your wonderful talent and vision.

That's great. I appreciate your ability to restore. The gloss in the paint is great. I'm learning well.

I am always amazed that you never finish with one nut, screw or small part left over! Brilliant restoration and I miss Mr Bean! haha.

Amazing, as always! A couple things to note: 1: Your soldering skills have greatly improved, you even used shrink tube. Very good! 2: You already know but I'm late to the party, you forgot the red plastic insert. 3: And finally, as for which bulb do I prefer, the original one OR a warm LED bulb, similar to the ones you had, but warmer. I think it will look way better than this artificial bluish light that has nothing to do with the old lamp. If you get decent warm LED bulbs you could easily trick people into thinking it's the original tungsten bulb. Hope you like my critique. Have a great day Tysy!

Great. I like the original bulb - incandescent light, much better than fluorescent light.
