I bought my GMT Master in 1997, direct from the AD's window. There was a Submariner and an Explorer available too - it was very different time. Other than servicing or if I was completing some really heavy work, it's been on my wrist for the last quarter century and it still looks great. My Dad had the Dajejust, exactly as in you video, including the strain on the strap.

Great video, as I agree being a first time Rolex buyer. I came across a MINT 16233 box papers and I just love the look and taste of this watch. Besides like he said I can’t afford a newer model Rolex and I personally don’t think it has that charm and old school look that I wanted. I love my 16233 two tone 36mm. I will have it forever.

Basic used submariner in states is $12,250 - no box - every day is tougher to find value over here - crazy times

My grandfather inherited his date just 36 (90's early 00') to me, it's my 1st rolex, therefore to have the accurate time, should I manually wind it every day, twice or 3x week or once that time I wear it? I'm just worried that the crown mechanism might break especially it's quite old

My educated guess is that this DJ has 14K gold instead of 18K. Which is not a bad thing.
