Coat back side of sink one day & the top another 👍
Most important aspect to a good finish is to make sure everything is clean 😁

Lysol power cleaner comes in the kit - amzn.to/3uc36Zv
It's certainly some potent stuff!
The hardest part of this process is mixing the product 😄
Add all of the Part A & B together
Mix by hand for 10 minutes
Let sit for 5 minutes
Then hand mix for another 3 minutes
It feels like an eternity 😄
If you are trying to finish the under side of sink too, I would recommend starting there
In hindsight, it would have been better to do the underside one day & the top the next
More on that below
This really isn't painting.....it's pushing the product to fill in areas needed
Take your time, this stuff can be moved around for a good hour before it begins to set up
⚠Important note: BE SURE THE ROOM TEMP IS WARM 75-80 degrees 🔥🔥
Use a heat gun to remove any air bubbles - amzn.to/3sxPPdn
A heat gun can help push & smooth out the epoxy too
Proceed onto top side once bottom area is completely coated

This is the issue with trying to finish the sink all at once
It would have been a much better outcome if I did the underside one day & the top the next
Being in a vertical position created drip marks
If I were to do over, I would buy a small kit for underside in addition to tub kit
Grind down any drips on the bottom of sink drain
This will need to be a smooth flat surface for attaching drain assembly

Another big challenge was needing a bracket to mount the sink
I would advise making sure you buy a sink with the mounting bracket...
I created this one by welding two pieces of 2" angle iron
You will need blocking behind wall to mount this heavy sink!
Use 100% silicone to seal drain assembly
Central Brass Drain Assembly - bit.ly/47Esbv6
Set chrome trap arm into drain adapter & mark pipe to evaluate the distance into adapter
Cut trap arm so that only a couple of inches goes into adapter
If the trap arm extends in too far, it could cause clogging issues
Seal top & sides of sink
This will secure sink to wall & prevent movement

That was going to be one of my questions! Glad to know the smell isn't awful. I've used epoxy on a bathtub before and the smell was horrendous.

This is a great bath you built sir, all your hard work and creative ideas came together on this beautiful project. I really apreciate all the hard work you put into these videos you produce. the sink came out beautiful, i installed a steel tub my clients chose from HD and during the remodel a small chip happened ( 1/4" ) what product would you suggest i use to fix this ?

To be honest, it might be worth paying a professional to come out and do. They typically have all the supplies to match the white correctly. These kits work, but sometimes tough to match up the color right www.homedepot.com/p/BATHWORKS-4-oz-Tub-and-Tile-Chip-Repair-Kit-in-White-CRC-201/306194327

If you stood it on its back and did the entire thing without it having to be upside down the finish on the bottom would be perfect without the drips.😊

Bathroom Remodeling Teacher, we have a 30 year old Kohler porcelain farmhouse sink that we want to refinish due to some small surface chips and hairline cracks in surface. Do we need to scuff up all the shiny porcelain surface like you did with the disk strippers and Lysol power scrub? We have some fine lacy details that would be hard to sand. Thank you

Technically no, but I would suggest scuffing so that the epoxy grabs into it better. As long as it’s clean, you should be good to pour over

I need HELP…our vintage blue Koehler sink , odd shape, repaired a large break with BOndo…found the right touch up paint….in the tiny bottles. Tried diluting with mineral spirits to put their air gun…no good. Brush left marks on first coat….need a way to get the last coat on smoothly . It’s an odd shape humped up corners-Koehler Dolce Vita sink in Skylight blue….the corner ‘hump’ is where it fell and broke. Is as telling my hubs after experiment…it seems like ‘pouring’ it on would be ideal…..but……would that work with paint….would we build a dam with tape to keep in only on affected area and then buff down the border??? The only replacement sink online we’ve found is $900!!! 🤯. I want this one b’c it matched all the blue and the 2nd blue sink in the master bath….

Would you suggest using this on a bathtub? Ive commented on your video before and hoping for your response. I've got a new bootz bathtub installed and it has a porcelain finish but I got a little kerdi fix along the back edge where the waterproof met the bathtub. The box store only had grey kerdi fix so now I have to find a way to get it off or restore it with a coat or paint or something. What would you suggest. Or do they make a certain product to restore a bathrub finish?

Kerdi fix should just scrape off. With a porcelain tub you can use acetone to help remove. Can’t imagine it damaging the tub

@@BathroomRemodelingTeacher perfect. Yea, I haven't spent any time on it, but knew it's too thick to just wipe off. Once I realized what happened, I taped off the front and back side so it wouldn't happen again. Thanks for the info. I'll give it ago.
