I LOVE using foam rollers! They're definitely my favorite, and my most used method. I grabed a thing called a sleeping bonette. I got it at Shoppers drug mart (im from Canada ), but I'm sure you could find it at any drugstore. Its great! It keeps my rollers in place, and it very light and has small holes so it lets your hair dry much faster than in a scarf (even though I sleep in them over night anyways). Well, thanks once again for another great video! I love watching your videos. Cheers! 😊

My nanna has some sponge rollers from back in the day, I think I need to go raid nanna's closet!

Elle De Jour Thats actually really cool! I haven't seen proper authentic vintage ones. I've seen some authentic home set-driers and hot rollers. Good luck! I hope it goes well 😊

Can't wait to see the brush out! I usually use more sponge rollers and I think it makes a cushion for me head so fairly comfortable to sleep in, although pin curls are probably the most comfy for sleep!

Kendra Veganknitwit maybe it's just me! Haha. I've used lots in the past and still had pain. But I agree, pun curls are te best to sleep in 😊

can I do the over under method with hot rollers to achieve that cool waved that the hair has once its brushed out?

Absolutely! Setting patterns can be used with any curling method. It can be a little trickier with hot rollers because they are bulkier, but the result will be similar, perhaps the wave won't be as tight. x

Love your video's. I did find a fantastic book that I bought myself this X-mas. "Vintage Hair Styles of the 1940's" by Bethany Jane Davies. She also has a section in the book on Home-made lotions and potions. And I have to say that the sugar water is the best setting lotion I have ever tried. Have you tried this?

This was a great tutorial! Although I don’t think foam rollers are easy in the slightest. I had to roll and re-roll each section constantly because the locking mechanism kept snapping off and falling on the floor. Is there a brand of foam rollers you recommend that stay in place better? I used the standard foam rollers I got at a beauty supply store, and the only brand they had. Never been so frustrated in all my life

That happens to me a lot too. I just take it off, roll it up, and put it back on.
