I think that is the greatest praise I could ever get on a video! Have you joined the discord community? Best crop, in my opinion, would be cabbage though it can be hard to find. Other than that, I try to focus on a faster crop like turnips or onions, and plant every single flax seed you can get. Flax kinda sucks as food, but you need a metric ton of linen, and you can make porridge in a pinch that will at least keep you alive. Hope you will have fun in the new series!

I would say just keep the same world seed if that's what you like, and then fiddle with the world settings near the bottom of the customization screen for amount of water in the world and how wide and flat you want the terrain. I've been using the same world seed on my worlds for several versions now. The seed seems to keep the same stone biomes and, not sure about vanilla ruins, but for mods like Better Ruins, you seem to get ruins in and about the same locations above and below ground. Pretty sure the ores were somewhat in similar locations, too. Another thing was the trader who is located near spawn is generally in the same location, but can change their class of trader every time you create the same world. This stuff will probably remain the same until they do any geological or terraforming updates.

I'll keep that in mind when I get the mods set up and ready to start the series! Have you seen the cool new stuff for 1.20??? Excited for that version

As for mods ... I would make suggestions after I saw your original mod list because I'd probably duplicate a lot of them.

I am having more trouble with food, what is the best crop to grow in the beginning stages (Pre-1st winter)?

Turnips seem to grow the fastest. Anything with the fewest stages of growth are the crops you may be able to get the most harvests from before your first winter. Just mind the temperature limits and ensure you rotate the crops. If you're in an area with a lot of medium fertility soil, I would just make a huge farm. The more farmland you have, the more crops you can grow at once. And if you don't want to spend all day using a watering can, race to get your first bucket so you can have a block of water next to all crop blocks. Some VS Village Mod villages have a well with a bucket you can snag. VS Villages are also great for their crops, too. Perfect for raiding once you have a base. There are also a few other mods that add tools or tool molds to create boards to make the bucket. I know "Some Extra Molds" by Astrelan has a saw mold for v1.19.5.
