HEY Ghostbusters fans! This is a documented process of how we restored and customized our 20-year-old Kenner Ecto 1. I used a Dremel tool and hot knife that can be very dangerous to operate, that's why this video is not aimed at kids. Also, I used lighter fuel to clean up the dried goo and glue so that is also flammable and dangerous if not used properly.
Stay tunned till the end for the ending of the skit! Its going to be pretty fun

I’m getting ready to put new stickers on my old ecto and restore it. Bought some stickers from Etsy. Like what you did, I may repaint some of the ecto where chrome is supposed to be. Great job!

Oh my goodness this was excellent. This is why toy collecting is a million times better than drugs. It is healthier and more productive. Wonderful video. I would love to see what you can do with the new Hasbro Ghostbusters Ecto 1. Which will hopefully come out, ANY DAY NOW HASBRO ?????????

I saw om IG a side by side shot of this kenner Ecto with the Hasbro one...and the Kenner one looks better imo. But you are right its still a nice option with nice details that this one doesnt have . I speak Spanish thats why my accent is weird lol

Wow, that´s really cool. I got the same car, even that one could need a restauration, too! Maybe I should do this also some day. By the way, for the Chrome-Parts there is a foil called "bare metal foil", I looks very good. maybe you try next time? :)

Has anyone ever thought to chop the roof and give the car a less cartoony looking back end? I doubt we are ever going to see an ecto to scale with the plasma series figures...modding one of these might be the closest thing we will ever get.

I've seen over a few years new figures were made that look amazing a few versions of when they were wherein the blue lab coats had little equipment then there jump suits and nice designs for their proton packs they made the hell hounds zool the distructor buuuut still I haven't seen the ecto 1 they made the figures they sure as hell need to make a nice detailed vehicle

Hasbro made one for the new after life movie coming up in 2021. Its very toy looking . The Kenner one is better. But this one takes the taco as Peter Venkman said in Ghostbusters 2 lol

Hi! I spray painted it from far away and just one or 2 coats . They also sell a transparent spray paint . Thank you for commenting hope that helps ! ❤
