no society can be "fixed." corruption will always exist in every society. he cut a lot of corners on this typewriter.

This is one tough restoration to do, coz lots of mechanical parts to disassemble, if we compare it with electric typewriter, this one is damn harder to do.... Well done bro.... You must be a patient guy i guess😀

Aaaaahh, a fine bit of machinery out of our Olympia Werke here in Germany. Apart from the usual wear and tear of centuries year old stuff, this typewriter looked in good condition albeit in an unhappy looking state of health ,-)) After your usual restaurational cleaning and spray paintings, she did look in a healthier state than when you first received her. A wonderful restauration, Sir ! :-))

A remarkable restoration. However, any reason why the crappy little bail bar rollers weren’t replaced (rubber tube sleeve)? Also, there still seems to be a fair amount of rust in the basket area … maybe just residue?
