Elio De Angelis broke his engine and the oil of his Lotus was all over the track mainly in the last corner of the Österreichring. When the leaders reached that sector Piquet was P1 and he almost spin but somehow he managed to control his Brabham. Prost was right behind Piquet in second place and he couldn't avoid the spin over that amount of oil. End of story.
