That was out near Henderson LA. My brother in law and I went out there to fish, and wondered what the heck was going on with the tour bus, trucks, people, etc. Found out what was happening. We hung around and watched, and went fishing after it was over.

I was out there as well. Knew about it a couple days before and made a day of it. ZZ Top + an afternoon of fishing = Great Day!!! Cherish the memory.

Wow that is just way cool! Too actually have been there. I used to sit next to zztop in our favorite Mexican restaurant in Houston TX when I was a kid in the late 70s Those dudes are the definition of cool.

@Trikin Out Your Truck I wonder how many times they did that. Every other time I have seen them they had hats of some sort. You can see from the Rio Grande Mud album cover Dusty was bald and Billy's hair was pretty thin and that was 1972.

Why? Classy band can play rock on an island, in a swamp, with fireworks going, and helicopters going around overhead... Looks like they got paid to play music and did it with style. The yachting jackets are a trip though. And no hats...

Yep, I noticed immediately. Rick Nielsen, Billy, and Dusty took to the hats as soon as the hair started going. This is rare to see the "in between" phase with these hair pieces. I say, WTH, just go bald and fuck it.....who cares anyway, it's the great music that counts. I shouldn't be talking of course lol.......my hair is pretty thin these days lol........the hats makes sense!

All these old great bands all ways looked out of place at these sort of things..yet in today's world ...its a shame that bands ain't and cant get a sniff in ...seemed alot more fun .and off the cusp back then ..... bit over the top ...but what is wrong with that.. great clip ...at the end guy moaning about what he ffffffing can hear In his headphones made it for me cracked up big time ..zz top was a great band

This is the greatest worst most unbelievably happy nightmare of a deep stage rem wet dream video. This could be used to describe an example of a bad acid trip. The Webster video dictionary definition of awkward. Thank god for those guitars and this most greatest documented treasure. NOW WE KNOW WHERE JAN TERRY GOT HER INSPIRATION. I just can’t get over this. How is this not national news every night?! The cinematography. The fireworks at the end. I assume their agent was promptly fired after this gold. Who’s in charge of this? You can hear his dumb ass through the entirety of the end. I love this.

( Cocaine ) Having met people in Beautiful places, all over the world. & when I asked, Where are you from ? I Litterly NEVER Met one person from any of these states. But this was already a couple of years after Eliminator, the huge album that really exploded their popularity. And with good reason-although I tend to favor their ‘70s stuff, Eliminator really seemed like the perfect album at the perfect time for them. Back then you couldn’t have the radio on for any length of time without hearing Give Me All Your Lovin’, Sharp Dressed Man, or Legs. If anything, the real pressure on them at this time was to follow up Eliminator with something equally impressive.

He was a sausage smoker just like Billy Gibbons if what you're saying is true . He ought to be greatful people like him enough to even want his autograph.
