Neat. It's the exact same quality as the A119 V3 except the contrast is turned up and the brightness turned down.

A119 V3 footage looks much more natural if you ask me. Mini 2 maybe has "better" footage but at cost it's more oversaturated. Night time footage looks much more grainy on the Mini 2, maybe with more detail,., but overall I wouldn't say it's that much better than V3. V3 is special because it looks so natural compared to other cameras on the market.

the reason the mini 2 is better can be seen at 4:58 look at the building on the left windows - they are blown out on the v3 but mini2 keeps the image visible. This is the difference between get a plate number in bright light or not.

Shoutout to the test mule driver burning their gas so we don’t have to. lol Also, the editing team has leveled up their game once again putting all these clips together. 3:58 Coming out of the underground parking garage is a good example demonstrating the dynamic range of the cameras, (really bright to really dark). 5:30 The overhead signs at the airport was another good example demonstrating the benefits of the Mini 2’s STARVIS 2 (IMX675) image sensor. When it comes time for the full review don’t forget to mention the Mini 2 uses the new 5-Pin GPS mount that has the capability to disable the GPS module to reduce power consumption, so it can increase parking mode duration. Oh yeah, the new voice command “LOCK VIDEO” is a welcome addition because it makes the optional $20 Bluetooth Remote almost unnecessary to trigger the camera’s Emergency Lock Button. -Chuck

The a139pro has a more natural output, similar to the 119v3. the mini 2 looks oversaturated and overly vivid to me. i have both cameras and its confirmed in a lot of the footage i've seen. the mini is a lot cheaper and smaller than the a139pro though.

I am looking for front and rear camera setup. I have 119 mini2 so should I get another for the rear or go with 129pro duo or 229duo or 129 plus duo? I like mini because of the new starvis 2 sensors and it's more future proof. So hard to decide

Does anyone's Mini 2 say recording started every couple of minutes? I set the loop timer to 5 min. With my old 119 mini 1, it only says recording when I start the car but the 2 says it nonstop. I tried unplugging the power cable from the cigarette ligther and from the dashcam itself but still didn't fix the issue. Can someone help :(

HDR with 30 FPS, or...none HDR with 60 fps, what is better ?

If the other car stops in a wreck, even a cheap camera will prove your innocence. But it is the hit and run drivers that you need to capture their license number that counts. Police don't want to chase after "a blue Toyota sedan" but they will go after license number 123 ABC.

To me the A119 V-3 look better I guess it could be my old eyes but good comparison.

I find it hard to believe that Viofo does not include a windshield suction cup mount for their dash cam. I don’t want something ‘permanently’ stuck to my windshield like their current products.

Question, are there is dashcams, min-dashcams, etc. that would work well with an aftermarket varifocal lens? Majority of the dashcams still don't capture license plates well and I figured adding a varifocal lens could achieve that.

What’s the point of having the dual band Wi-Fi? My car has Android Auto, and when I tried to connect a dash cam via WiFi, it automatically disconnected the Android Auto. If I can’t connect both, I’ll just use the Android Auto, not the dash cam.
